Ms. Dickerson, As we discussed on the phone yesterday, our vendor initially provided a replacement mirror, which you did not find satisfactory. He subsequently ordered another mirror, and his understanding was that you would contact him at your convenience to arrange installation. Until yesterday, we had not received communication from you regarding this matter over the past year, aside from occasional inquiries directed to our service department. It seems there may have been some misunderstanding or miscommunication, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. While we are uncertain of the purpose behind opening a case with Toyota/Lexus and posting negative reviews, please know that we have consistently attempted to assist you in good faith, despite there being no written documentation stating you were owed a replacement mirror. As a standard practice, we do not chase part replacements on pre-owned vehicles unless there is a clear safety concern—in which case we would have addressed it immediately. The last communication we had with our vendor was that he would confirm availability of the part so we could finalize installation arrangements. He has informed us that he will provide that confirmation today. Regarding your driver’s license suspension, please note that if a vehicle is purchased within 90 days of the registration tag expiring, the tag cannot be transferred. If the license plate was not returned in that circumstance, it may result in a license suspension. In situations where the dealership is at fault, we have always reimbursed the customer once the issue is brought to our attention.
