I had a service appointment for a safety recall. After dropping my truck off they called and said the main part they needed wasn’t in stock and don’t know when they’ll have the part. There was an issue with the battery in my recently-purchased Highlander. The dealership towed the vehicle from my home to the dealership, replaced the battery and delivered it back to my home recently-purchased Highlander. I took my car in for a Toyota recall "fix". That part as far as I know, according to the paper work, went well. However, when I pickrd up my car, the windshield was cracked. No one said anything, brought th far as I know, according to the paper work, went well. However, when I pickrd up my car, the windshield was cracked. No one said anything, brought the car around and left. I had to bring the issue to their attention,discussed the issue with management (service rep not there). It was agreed they would replace it. I went to pick up the car the second time, windshield was replaced but had scratches on it.....talked with management. Management agreed the replaced windshield was not acceptable. I left the car the third time on a Saturday. I was told the service rep would call me on Monday. I didn't receive a call, finally I called on Friday left a voice mail for the service rep, didn't receive a call; so, I called two other times but he was not available. Then, I called the service manager, left a voice mail. On Friday the service rep called and said the car would be ready on Wednesday. He called on Wednesday to request another day. He said I could pick it up on Thursday which was okay because I had stated during Friday's conversation I would be able to pick it up on Thursday. I went to pick it up late Thursday afternoon. The windshield looked ok. I requested the removal of the residue of the sticky tape. He agreed and would also wash the car. After about 45 minutes, he came by and said it was taking awhile because the detail guy was giving it a little extra love. I said ok. Ater about an hour, my car was brought around. He said they ran water on the windshield to test for leaks. I said thanks and made some additional comments. I went to my car and looked at it, thought.....no additional love.....got in my car and looked for water on the dash, didn't see any; so I drove off. But , on my way home, I thought I needed to do more checking. So, afterwards I checked a bit more throughly. The front passenger's side floor near the door was wet and the side of the seat had water streaming on it as well as droplets in the seat crevice. I did a follow up call to my service rep to notify him of my findings. He gave an explanation (a bit questionable) and said if I see leakage in the future bring the car in. I left it at that. I'm trusting this experience with Toyota of Rockwall will not have an impact on future service. More
