Regardless of how many sales, discounts and low finance rates you are verbally promised make sure to request an itemization of fees before you agree to a monthly payment and ask HOW this figure was calculated. If you have a trade in please consider selling it as a separate transaction. If not, ask to see your "agreed upon value" on the loan/lease agreement to ensure that you have actually been given "credit" for any sales/discounts and trade ins and that this agreed upon value has not been falsely increased so high over MSRP that it essentially wipes out any credit/trade in you are due. Also make sure you are getting the finance % or lease rate you qualify for. You may be told this is regulated by the bank but I talked to a finance department and was told that the bank only regulates if it is too high. This means that a dealer may still try to charge you a higher % or rate than you qualify. also do your research before purchasing any add on packages that they offer. If they tell you that the $400 VIN window etching is needed for an insurance discount, please contact your insurance co. first to verify. Each of the companies we spoke with said this has no impact on an insurance rates. Also, you can get an etching kit and do it yourself for around $20-$30. if you have a terrible experience with this dealer and think you can get assistance from corporate, think again. Because this is a franchise all they can do is file a complaint and ask the dealer to call you. I guess I was naive to think that a well established corporation like Toyota would be different from the stereotypical used car lot and would have any regard for it's customer service or reputation. all I can say is please be sure to do your research and read all online reviews before stepping foot onto this dealership's property More
Becarefull before going there..Make sure you read this before doing business with them. Toyota Rennemede is not recommended. I wish I could do 0 starts or less I bought a 2018 RAV4 LE from them. It before doing business with them. Toyota Rennemede is not recommended. I wish I could do 0 starts or less I bought a 2018 RAV4 LE from them. It's the most horrible experience in my life and I just discovered more things about the car today!! To summarize, here are the 3 main points: 1. They will to rip you off if they find out you are desperate for a car. 2. They will offer you a deal and they will revoke it if they get someone else looking at the same car 3. They may sell you a demo car with 6000 miles as new and they don't tell you that until after you did the whole credit score and just before signing papers 4. The new car might have re-paint done without disclosing that to customer. That's what I found today unfortunately. In November 2018 my old car gave up so I decided to buy a new one. I don't have credit history so I had to ask my grandmother to co_sign the loan. I tried a local dealership in kansas where I live and got good deals but my grandmum (not very techy ) was not able to do the online process. She was not feeling comfortable with that So I decided to fly to new Jersey to visit them and get the car stuff done. First day we looked at rennemede toyota and picked up a used 2016 rav4 limited. The next morning I called Chris ( salesman ) and I told him I am willing to go with the 2016 rav4 if they sell it for certain price ( i think it was 23000). I told him to decide quickly with his manager so I know we do a deal or I go look somewhere else. He called me and said , come on will do it. Because this guy already talked to us last day and he found out I'm coming all the way from kansas and I have to get the car thing done in new jersy before I fly back to KS ( my wife is driving it back) he knew I am desperately looking to get this done especially with my grandmum (the one that has the good credit) lives in new jersy . I went there for the good deal and they started negotiating with me although that was not the agreement. He lied at me. I wasted all my time until then I found that another customer wanted that same car and they want to get rid of me...Now its 1pm or Later and I don't have enough time to start looking over again and grab my grandmum all over the places for looking for better deals. I decided to go change plan with new 2018 rav 4. It's a mess..They took at least 4 hours from the time we picked the car to the signing papers. We were so tired and wanting to go home that and they played us again..I negotiated the price with Chris and he said he will drop it 1000$ from what's priced online...That took some of my anger..but then after going throughout the papers I found the car has 6000 miles on it and it was a demo car which means the manager was using it..That's a new car!!!. So he lied at me again. I was so desperate tired and want to move on, I was so.mad inside but I let it go..I was stupid but trust me when you are under that pressure , tired and don't want to bother your grandmother more than that, you will just let it go. Mr Chris told me also that the warranty will exclude the 6000 miles, which means, if the warranty if for up to 36000 miles, for me it will be to 42000 miles because the car has 6000 miles already. Guess what, it was a lie again. In fact, when I was singing papers with the financial guy he said that's not right...one more thing, we ended up doing my grandmum as buyer and me a co-buyer to get a loan. But then in the title, they put only grandma's name..that was a big mess that I had to fix later when registering the car in KS.Trust me you dont want to go through similar experience, especially when you find you paid 6000$ on a car in someone else's name. The boom finding was today..I took my car for a cash offer from carmax and they found the rear panel and rear passenger door were re-painted. My car was more than a demo, the idiot who was driving it probably scratched somehow and they had to painted. They did not tell anything about that. They said it's new... Again, be careful, I highly recommend to do not go there More
I don’t understand the negative reviews, they quoted me a price over the net and stuck by it, offered reasonable trade value first time. No complaints. Would do business again for sure! price over the net and stuck by it, offered reasonable trade value first time. No complaints. Would do business again for sure! More
they are terrible and over price I sent my car with a towing company that left my car in their service department. in there the lose my car's key and it was missing for about 3 days. I sent my car with a towing company that left my car in their service department. in there the lose my car's key and it was missing for about 3 days. it was a terrible service and they found it and after 3 days and didn't sorry for the inconvenience and i told even to the manager that his name is Larry and didn't help me with the matter and they never said sorry about it. after they checked it they were over pricing me and i had to take it to another place where they just charged me 70% less then Toyota was charging me. the worse thing is that i got services there the day before when my car needed to be towing. I'm not accusing them for the problems that my car got next day after their services otherwise I'm really disappointment for their bad service and for charged me for see my car a couple minutes 65 dollars when they were supposed to no charge me for it for all the inconveniences that i had for their uncertainties. I purchased a '17 Toyota Sienna AWD as CPO for my wife and they only gave me one key. No keyless entry fob, nothing else. Had to escalate to Toyota Customer Care and now have two keys and only one fob. Still fighting for the other fob. Bad, bad, very bad experience, signed purchase contract full price for the Tacoma truck, paid $2500 initial deposit, next morning did a bank transfer, after I sent a co experience, signed purchase contract full price for the Tacoma truck, paid $2500 initial deposit, next morning did a bank transfer, after I sent a confirmation, they said the truck is sold to someone else. We had to rush to the bank again to stop the transfer. Paid for transfer and never got a reimbursement. Was told that they will refund the deposit within 1-2 days, in fact, it happened 3.5 weeks later, after I called them and remind. Shame, unprofessional! More
They Ripped Me Off I was working with Toyota Turnersville and salesperson Wayne Moore at Toyota Runnemede claimed they can beat Turnersville on a 2018 Toyota Highlander I was working with Toyota Turnersville and salesperson Wayne Moore at Toyota Runnemede claimed they can beat Turnersville on a 2018 Toyota Highlander XLE and give me credit for the last 4 payments on my Ford Edge. I went to Runnemede and leased the Highlander. When I went home, I found out that they wrote 45 miles on the contract when the Highlander actually had 145 miles on it. They also put an extra $400 charge for a security etching that I didn't ask for. They also did not credit me for the Ford Edge ($1427) but charged me almost MSRP for the Highlander. I immediately went back to Runnemeade and Brian Finn the finance guy said he would refund me $15 for the mileage and $399 for the etching. I also discovered that they never performed the security etching on the windows, just charged me for it. Three weeks go by and after numerous calls where they lied to me face, I never got the refund. So I opened a case with Toyota Financial and together we contacted the manager at Runnemede Michael Rufo and he also promised that the refund would be mailed out the next day. Another week go by and I called Toyota Financial find out that they closed the case. I had them reopen it and they contacted Runnemede again and Runnemede said it would definitely be refunded in another 7-10 business days. I have a signed note from them for the refund and will definitely be initiating legal action next week with the note. All in all the worst experience I ever had with a car dealership. These guys exemplify the worst stereotypes about car salesmen. More
Certified pre owned means nothing!! They stand by nothing Bought a vehicle that's certified pre owned, Clean Carfax. Later on discovered it was in an accident. To someone who is uneducated in auto body, they' Bought a vehicle that's certified pre owned, Clean Carfax. Later on discovered it was in an accident. To someone who is uneducated in auto body, they'd never know. I brought it to a shop to get a dent fixed that I did out of my own stupidity and the shop pointed out the evidence of the accident. One point being the huge amount of body filler they painted over. Tried to work something out with the relations manager. He said if it bothers you so much, trade it in for a new one. I should not have to buy a vehicle and start a loan all over because they sold me a vehicle that wasn't looked over properly. Point of this post, Certified Pre Owned means nothing. If it wasn't on the Carfax, it's not their problem because not all shops report it. Look over your potential new to you pre owned vehicles carefully and bring someone educated in body work just in case or you can end up like me. I will be making my next purchase at a different dealership whenever that time comes. More
