Very friendly and attentive dealership. They were willing to work with me and my wife to get us into a car that fit our needs and didn’t just try to sell us something that didn’t make sense They were willing to work with me and my wife to get us into a car that fit our needs and didn’t just try to sell us something that didn’t make sense for us. Everyone we dealt with was very pleasant and felt like they were transparent about their offers. More
I have never encountered such dishonesty and a more blantant disregard of a client's satisfaction as when dealing with this dealership. If you are going to read any reviews please make it this one, you blantant disregard of a client's satisfaction as when dealing with this dealership. If you are going to read any reviews please make it this one, you may thank me later. A car was purchased brand new on February 21st of this year and at the time of purchase my daughter in law had no insurance so the dealership sold her a policy that would cover her for the first 30 days until she got her own insurance. That week we had some serious rain coming down and 4 days after the purchase my daughter in law drove through a puddle which cause damage to the engine. The car was towed back to the dealership and at first they said, oh of course we'll look into it immediately, don't you worry. She called the insurance company(that the dealership sold her) and they, without hesistation said: "there is no claim here, this is a manufacturer issue". So she went back to Toyota of SB, this is the point I got involved seeing how she was being treated, I asked that she put me on speaker phone while she spoke to the dealership. She met with the "customer releations manager", Charity, which proceeded to tell us: It'll be approximately $10,000.00 to fix your car. When we asked about the insurance they had sold us, this is what she said: "That insurance policy will not cover this loss because we sold you a liability insurance policy". A LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY! This "customer relations manager" expected us to believe we only had a liability insurance policy on a new car. I've bought my share of new cars and I know the bank requires you to have comprehensive insurance. When I told her this she stuck to her guns and said, nope what you had was a liabilty insurance policy. I admit, I should have been more prepared when we spoke to this "customer relations manager" but I wasn't. Nonetheless, all it took was for me to review the paperwork that was given to my daughter in law at the time of purchase to see that the policy was a comprehensive insurance policy, NOT A LIABILITY POLICY. This lady flat our lied to us. Not only did she lie to us, on that same day, she submitted a self repossesion form to Toyota Financial claiming we had abandoned the vehicle, without letting us know! Alot more details to this story but bottom line: By the time we finally got the insurance company( the dealership sold us) to talk to the dealership about the car damage(about a month later) they had dragged their feet so long that the car was picked up by Toyota Financial, not because of lack of payment but because the "customer relations manager" had submitted a self repossesion form to have it picked up. This dealship not only lied to us but sold us a product they didn't stand behind. The insurance company is a whole other story, the company refused to call the dealership and the dealership refused to call them as if it were a coordinated effort to delay the repair of the car until Toyota Financial had time to pick it up. Again, we didn't know the "customer releations manager" had submitted the self repossesion form, my daughter in law never signed any such document. Needless to say a Department of Insurance complaint has been filed against the insurance carrier and we've started reaching out to attorneys to represent us in the litigation that is sure to come from a "self repossesed vehicle". In conclusion, if you want to be lied to your face, lose your down payment, spend countless hours dealing with what should have been an open and shut case and ultimately end up in court, by all means, shop Toyota of San Bernardino. p.s. If you don't? I'd stay as far away from this place as possible. More
