I purchased my vehicle from Toyota of Tampa Bay, which is why I am particularly disappointed by my recent service experience. I came in for routine tire rotation. During the visit, I was offered a buy-one why I am particularly disappointed by my recent service experience. I came in for routine tire rotation. During the visit, I was offered a buy-one-get-one-free windshield wiper promotion and was quoted $25 for the replacement blades. Based on that quote, I agreed to have the wipers installed. After the work was completed, my service advisor informed me that he had quoted the wrong price. He explained that because my vehicle is a 2025 Camry, the blades cost more than he originally thought. However, after looking into it myself, that explanation did not make much sense, as the pricing differences appear to apply to much older model years at least 10 years older. The final bill for the wipers was $38.87. While the advisor reduced the price of the blades in an effort to get closer to the original quote, the invoice also included a $10.71 shop supply fee that was never mentioned when the quote was provided. Had I been told that the actual out-the-door cost would be nearly $40, I would have declined the service and purchased wipers elsewhere. My issue is that I was not given accurate pricing information up front so that I could make an informed decision. If a service advisor quotes a price, customers should be told about any additional fees at the same time. The tire rotation also left me with questions. I recently replaced one tire due to an unrepairable nail puncture. After the rotation, that new tire remained in the same rear position on the same side. There may be a valid reason for this, but it was never explained to me. If the tire was intentionally left in place because of the tread depth difference, I would have appreciated being told that. Instead, I was left wondering whether the rotation had been fully performed. Overall, the experience damaged my confidence in the service department. This was a relatively small transaction, but clear communication and accurate quotes are important regardless of the dollar amount involved. More

Was denied usage of Toyota care. They stated they couldn’t patch the nail in my tire. The nail was in the green zone. I then had to go to Firestone and pay them to patch it. I purchased a pre owned Mercedes from Toyota of Tampa Bay. It had some slight damage to the fender from a small prior collision.
