I bought my first new car at Watertown. David was incredibly helpful while I considered the car and he's been fantastic since the purchase getting all the details in line. The driver's side back brak incredibly helpful while I considered the car and he's been fantastic since the purchase getting all the details in line. The driver's side back brake light casing had an abrasion on it when I went to pick up the car and the dealer promptly agreed to replace the light casing free of charge. I feel great about the purchase and I would buy my next car here. More
I have dealt with Toyota of Watertown since 1991, when I purchased a Corolla. Now I have a Prius (which I love!). The service reps have all been incredibly nice to me (one of whom I have known since I got purchased a Corolla. Now I have a Prius (which I love!). The service reps have all been incredibly nice to me (one of whom I have known since I got that Corolla way back when). The service is always performed thoroughly and properly, and the prices are on par with other dealerships. Besides the top-quality service, they have extended hours during the week, plus they're open on Saturdays. The waiting area is bright and clean, and they always have free coffee, water, fruit and other refreshments. They also have a free shuttle service. More
I went into Toyota of Watertown looking to keep my out of pocket expenses low and monthly payments comparable to what I was currently paying on a similar vehicle (different car maker) whose lease was expirin pocket expenses low and monthly payments comparable to what I was currently paying on a similar vehicle (different car maker) whose lease was expiring. This was the second of three dealerships in the area that I was planning on visiting including the dealership which handled my original lease. My salesman, and the Sales manager, at Toyota of Watertown took the time to understand what I was looking for in a car and what I was able/willing to pay. They were professional, personable and honest (i.e., no BS) with me on my first visit to see them. I never went to see the third dealership and the first dealership lost my business because they weren't able (or unwilling) to meet my requests. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new/used car and will certainly be heading back in the upcoming months to look for a second car for my family. More
I had my husband help me when I decided that I wanted the new car. I have had 2 pre-owned Avalons in the last 8 years and have always been satisfied with the product and service, so TOYOTA was a no brainer. new car. I have had 2 pre-owned Avalons in the last 8 years and have always been satisfied with the product and service, so TOYOTA was a no brainer. HOWEVER, selecting a dealer was not an easy task. My husband called, emailed and visited other more local dealerships all with one mission, find the car I wanted at a price I wanted. No one measured up to the "Daves" of Watertown. I was encouraged to test drive an 09 Avalon & Dave Crea took us out to see all the bells and whistles I could have if I wanted them. Attention to detail, returned phone calls, and fair negotiation is what I received from this dealership. My car had to be ordered and I was kept abreast of it's proposed delivery and received it in the time I was promised. AND Dave Barrett drove it to a mutually agreeable delivery place for my ease of picking it up, HIS HOUSE which is much more convenient than Watertown. Registration, delivery w/a full tank of gas and no hassle with paperwork made this purchase Pain Free. I was offered optional insurance, however I did decline because the product has such a positive history in my book. No pressure was placed on me throughout the entire process and I would recommend this dealership to friends and family. More
We just purchased a new car from Toyota of Watertown and are very pleased. We had to order the car and the sales person with whom we worked, Haider Amin, was very attentive throughout the process and was good about communicating with us regarding the timing of the car's arrival. He kept in touch with us generally to make sure that the purchase went smoothly and followed up after we took the car home to make sure that we had no questions or issues. The business person who walked us through the actual purchase did inform us about additional warranties and other products that we could purchase. We were not interested in purchasing them, however, and there was no hard sell. We will need to replace our other car in the near future and will be happy to return to this dealer. More
Within the last year, I graduated college and started a new career. I was nervous entering the process because it was the first time I had purchased a car. I didn't come to the dealership with a particular car in mind. They took the time to understand what vehicle features were important to me (e.g., good gas mileage, four doors, and power options, to name a few) and what my budget limit was. They suggested a 2009 Yaris Sedan. After a test drive, I thought it was a perfect fit. I received no pressure to consider and test drive other, more expensive cars. I believe they gave me the best price/deal possible. They helped me understand all my financing options as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each. Consequently, I felt good about my final decision. In addition to a low price for the 2009 Yaris Sedan, they were able to get me a thousand dollar recent college graduate rebate, zero percent financing for sixty months, and a fair value for my trade-in. They made all the paperwork easy and seamless. I will go back for my next car. More
I wanted to let you know why I would not hesitate to recommend your dealership to anyone. In fact I already have. I am a 50 year old woman who has not purchased a new vehicle in many, many years. I h recommend your dealership to anyone. In fact I already have. I am a 50 year old woman who has not purchased a new vehicle in many, many years. I have been taking the MBTA forever and decided it was just time to finally purchase a new vehicle. I didn't want to deal with another New England winter commuting on the "T". Your dealership was the 1st one that I went to on my search for a new vehicle. I did not know what I was looking for initially but finally settled on purchasing the Scion XB. My salesman was Peter Matton. He couldn't have been nicer. He was able to answer all my questions and address any concerns I may have had. There was no BS, which I totally appreciated. I went to your showroom on a Friday & picked up my new vehicle on a Wednesday. It was Peter's day off & he came in to meet me and go over everything. He was very kind, professional and down to earth, that's what I really appreciated. Thank you again. and I Love my Scion XB. More
I have bought 12 cars in my life--some new, some used--and this has been my best experience by far. The sales people knew their products, and let me drive three different models without any pressure used--and this has been my best experience by far. The sales people knew their products, and let me drive three different models without any pressure. They also really went out of their way to get me the best financing available. I had had credit problems in the past, and was concerned that I wouldn't be eligible for the promotional financing. The sales manager immediately went and did the credit check and came back right away to assure me that I could get the 0% financing for 60 months. I was planning on buying either a Corolla or a Yaris--although I am 6'3" and weigh 250 lbs, I just didn't think I could afford anything else. Once the 0% financing was on the table, the sales people told me I could get a Camry LE for the same payment I was expecting to have for a Corolla(!) Needless to say, I was thrilled and was even able to take delivery later in the same day. Probably the part I expected to enjoy the least was the "closing" time where you sign everything and usually get talked into a ton of extras that you don't want. In this case, the guy I dealt with was very easy-going, and I didn't end up jacking my payment way up with extra stuff. Finally, I got a chance to meet the service manager and was very impressed with his operation--I've never been a big fan of going to dealers for service, but in this case I'm going to give it a try. I know next to nothing about cars, so I was apprehensive about bringing my 2000 Camry into a dealership. I received the car as a gift in January, 2008, when its former owner, a relative, bought a new Corol about bringing my 2000 Camry into a dealership. I received the car as a gift in January, 2008, when its former owner, a relative, bought a new Corolla. As of June, 2009, I had done nothing to the car but drive it and keep the gas in the tank. The service advisor, Ashok Vaswani, made me feel at ease as soon as I began to speak to him. He was friendly and patient with me as he explained what tests needed to be done. He and the other service staff changed the oil, rotated the tires, and did other "routine" maintenance work. It turns out my exhaust pipe was cracked; I thought replacing it would cost me an arm and a leg. But Mr. Vaswani checked and double checked some paperwork and made sure I wasn't charged because it was covered by the warantee (just barely!). People told me squeaking brakes are not an issue with cars, especially with ones as old as mine. But when I told Mr. Aswani my breaks squeak sometimes, he took my concerns seriously and had the rear brakes cleaned and adjusted. I think most people dread bringing their cars into dealerships for repairs almost as much as dislike going to dental appointments. I know I did. But the experience wasn't bad, not bad at all! It didn't take as long as I thought (I thought I'd be there all day), and the cost was much lower than I expected as well. When I drove my Camry back home, it ran as if it were brand new -- and I didn't hear any brake-squeaking! The best part of the day, though, was how the great service. Mr. Aswani wasn't the least bit condescending when he explained things to me; his demeanor was admirably professional. He didn't take advantage of my ignorance of all things automotive. He and the other service staff did a thorough job of checking my car and working to maintain its performance. But they didn't try to talk me into tests that weren't necessary or overcharge me. In fact, they saved me hundreds(?) of dollars by looking into the warantee. I would have paid for the exhaust pipe in a heartbeat if they'd asked me to, and they probably sensed that. But they were honest and proved themselves worthy of my trust. If all the Toyota owners in Boston and its suburbs knew how friendly and helpful the service staff members are and what a great job they do, all the people who drive Toyota cars, trucks, minivans, hybrids, or SUVs would bring them to Toyota of Watertown whenever the vehicles needed maintenance or repairs. (Or, at least, the smart ones would.) Signed: a satisfied little middle-aged female Camry owner More
