I'm sorry not to have found Hillman's name in the list of employee's at Toyota of Watertown. Hillman was very helpful with my recent purchase of a 2012 Prius Plug-in. He helped me with hthe purchase decision and was then able to get me the color I wanted even though Watertown did not have it. He has been attentive in fololwing up with me to see if I had any questions and, in one case, was able to solve a puzzle when I called him by phone. When I stopped by to pick up my new registration and to get an inspection sticker, he took the time to show me how to program the preset radio stations. Overall, a very good experience. Jeannie and I had decided to spend our Saturday morning shopping Toyota of Watertown. I had been to Betera Chevrolet in Palmer, MA and had decided against a beautiful Dodge Dakota 4x4. I had seen the Tacoma 4 door online. Hilman worked with us, and was sensitive to Jeannie's disability. She walks slow. He waited. Jeannie expressed her opinion, Hilman answered her concern. By the time we got inside I was amazed. I figured if it kept going this way, I was buying a car today. We met Paul Swerling, who mentioned that we have the same birthdate seven years apart. No I'm not giving the year. But I have been scrolling down quite a ways to find it these days.. My trade was treated with respect. We worked carefully with numbers. I was happy with the numbers. So was Jeannie, the finance "no" person. i was so shocked. I really don't remember anything else after that until I was in Jim Taddeo's office. This part was fantastico! Why? The numbers, the insurance, the warranty, the registration -- everything had been taken care of. I was actually buying the car. Jim offered me a few ways to handle the financing. We looked at different screens with different break downs which was important. Jim made piles of all the paperwork, keeping things in order. It seemed crazy, but there was a sanity in looking through all of the documents, contemplating the payouts. I did come back for an antennae, and a tiny dent that will be reversed in a few days. However, it was a trip that was planned, since I needed my registration papers. Toyota of Watertown handled those papers for me, and today I came back to get an inspection sticker. Thanks so much to Toyota of Watertown for being patient and thorough. Jeannie was impressed. Me too, and relieved as well since I'm finished with buying a car. More
Hilman was a pleasure to work with. We felt absolutely no pressure to buy, buy, buy. He answered every question we had and if he didn't know the answer, he would say so and get the answer from some one more pressure to buy, buy, buy. (Although he has been a salesman for many years, he has been at Toyota of Watertown for only 3 months). Hlman also told us about 2 other aspects of dealing with the insurance company and the unexpired warranty on our car that was totaled. His information saved us another $500. He was a friend of ours, not a salesman. After we decided to buy our new Prius, we started asking about leasing another new Prius! Before we decided to trade in our other car, I checked edmunds.com for trade-in value and they gave us by far the best deal around. So we purchased 2 cars from him on virtually the same day! When we worked with the finance and lease people for all the contract paperwork, they were equally friendly. They even asked us to answer some questions about their service so they could improve the service they give future customers. There was nothing they could improve! Their waiting room for service and repair, which Hilman gave us a tour of, was big and comfortable with free amenities and even had a separate play area for kids! To sum up our experience with Hilman and Toyota of Watertown, it was a pleasure. More
