Install looked good and was done by the end of the day. They were a bit short staffed and asked if they could finish the job the next day. I stopped to look at trucks, returned home and contacted the guy that I was talking to. I went through the Kelley Blue Book site and we agreed on a price. My only ask was for the dealership to pay for the the guy that I was talking to. I went through the Kelley Blue Book site and we agreed on a price. My only ask was for the dealership to pay for the labor of Installing the running boards (I’m 5’2”). I was told that day that they would not cover that cost (I inquired with my local Chevy dealer and it would cost $80) The next day around 9:15 am, Dec 29, I was told that if I came that that day and bought the truck that the dealership would cover the cost. I messaged Jason Hoffman back and said that I couldn’t do that, I was at work. I had not specifically looked at the vehicle to verify that it did indeed have all the specs mentioned because as the vehicles state not all of the listed specs are guaranteed to be on any vehicle, nor had I sat in, driven or was offered to see the available running boards for the new truck. I messaged him back that I would do the deal if I could come up Jan 4 @1230p. I got no response to this day. I am floored that over $80, that they would not want to sell a $54,000 truck Plus make thousands on my trade In. Also a low mileage Silverado.(22,000 miles) It is mind blowing how things work or don’t work these days. More
