I was traveling out of town and I'd just crossed over from Ohio into West Virginia when I started having some car troubles. The closest dealership was Turnpike Ford, so I took it there. I went to the dealership to have my car repaired, but the cost of repairs was a lot higher than I anticipated. I told him that I could not afford a new car, but he assured me that he would find me a dependable used car that would fit into my budget. At first, I was skeptical, but Clint took a lot of time to make sure that I got a car that not only was I happy with, but also one that I could afford. He even took time to talk to my son and explain everything to him and help him understand why this would save me money. Now my son does not have to worry about me breaking down in my old car. And I can go where I need to go without worrying if I will make it back. I always thought car salesmen were out to make a fast buck and push you into an expensive car, but my experience at Turnpike and Clint Walker, has changed the way I think about car salesmen. I wanted to get a car that had good gas mileage and Clint Walker was the only salesman that took the time to explain the features and options of the different models. I brought my car in to be looked at because it had been acting strange. Turnpike Service had my car for around 8 hours. I took my car to a garage that specializes in transmission work and they found that my transmission was fine, and all I had was a clogged exhaust. So luckily I saved myself thousands of dollars by getting a second opinion. When I called to discuss why I was charged for receiving false information, I was told the manager would call me back. I never received a phone call though. I would think a large and expensive dealership and service station like Turnpike Ford would be reliable and trustworthy, but I have found that to be untrue. I stopped into the dealership with XPlan and preapproved cred from Ford. I wasn't trading in a car, so the deal would've been straight forward. So, I went to another dealership with the same XPlan and credit from Ford. The other dealership was transparent in the deal. When I notified Mark at Turnpike that I would not be taking the car from his dealership, I received two e-mails. One telling me that I should have asked for the deal that the other dealership gave me. As if it was my fault that his dealership didn't offer the deal. The second e-mail used my mother and sister against me, the time he spent on the deal, and that I broke some kind of trust barrier by shopping at another facility. I won't be shopping there anymore. Nor will my family. More
