I chose this rating because right from the beginning James and Ryan made us very comfortable with making a decision on a car. My husband was not sure about the leasing program but Ryan was able to explain the pros and cons of buying verse leasing. Again no pressure. The whole process was long but enjoyable. We got the car we wanted and the price was phenominal. Would highly recommend Van York to all friends. More

Drove out from Durham because of a great deal advertised on a used Honda Pilot. Low pressure sales team - Shelton Staten answered questions by phone and e-mail so I didn't waste time. Good test drive with James Williamson, who started off with a great price so negotiating was easy. Business and Finance guy got me a better rate than I was pre-qualified for, and didn't give me the hard sell on the extended warranties and all the other junk. Overall, this is a nice mid-sized dealership that seems a lot more customer-focused than many of the mega-dealerships I visited around the triangle. More

I was referred to Van York Honda throught the Costco Auto Program on 11/8/2013 where I was told that there would be Costco specific dealer pricing on the car. When I arrive at the dealer I am told that ther Program on 11/8/2013 where I was told that there would be Costco specific dealer pricing on the car. When I arrive at the dealer I am told that there is not the program pricing and there never was any program pricing on the Hybrid (which I validate with Costco). Instead of being a simple transaction it turned into a frustrating experience where either an error in communication or an outright misrepresetation of the truth on the part of the dealership. I get that the car is rare. What I don't get is being told that the car wasn't in the program and not honoring the pricing agreement at the time of the referral. Shelton and Ray were polite and courteous, however, this isn't right. I bought the car because I want the car. I'm dissapointed in the experience and will be escalating through Costco post haste. My name is Quincy R. and I have bought plenty of used cars in the past, but I was in the market for a new car and wanted one by the end of 2013. I started at Crown Honda in Greensboro, NC the Friday bef cars in the past, but I was in the market for a new car and wanted one by the end of 2013. I started at Crown Honda in Greensboro, NC the Friday before Christmas. I was going to pay CASH for a brand new car. The salesman that I had was extremely pushy and was attempted to do everything to get me to purchase the Honda he wanted me to purchase. I had done a lot of research so I knew exactly what I wanted. I explained to him that I wanted a blue Honda. He told me that it would be better if I got a dark grey one. That was the first red flag. Then when I asked him for a bill of sale and I needed to see some numbers with the taxes and fees he said I could probably calculate it up on my phone. It was very unprofessional and rude at the least. After going to VAN York Honda in High Point, NC, I still thought it was a better deal at Crown Honda so I went back. The final straw came when the salesman at Crown Honda brought the car around without the features that I asked for and gave me a folded up bill of sale with the price being almost $4,000 more than what he told us. I was furious and walked out the door with my check in hand. They tried to contact me over 15 times that day and sent me text messages which I never authorized them to send. I decided to go back to Van York Honda in High Point, NC where I was met by Jerry Willoughby(J.W.) who was the sole reason I purchased my vehicle from Van York Honda. He was very concerned how I was treated even though it did not happen at his establishment. He asked me again what I was looking for and explained to me that he will make sure he took care of my needs. He was very courteous, understanding and KEPT HIS WORD. He listened to what I wanted and needed as a customer and told me if he didn't have the Honda there he would make sure to get it to me no matter what. I brought my father with me and Jerry Willoughby(J.W.) also made him comfortable with something as simple as a bottle water. Because it was so late in the day, everything could not be finalized, but Jerry Willoughby(J.W.) followed up with me as he promised which was very important to me and I was able to obtain the car I wanted the week of Christmas. I work in customer service/sales and I was extremely impressed with his experience and skills. Van York Honda has a secret weapon in their arsenal and it's Jerry Willoughby(J.W.)!!! I run into people all the time that are in the market for a new or used car and I will be sending them to Van York Honda. Thanks again Jerry Willoughby(J.W.) and Van York Honda for making my experience seamless, remarkable and exceptional!! More
