Venice Toyota responded

Cramer Toyota of Venice regrets that tami34285 did not bring this to the attention of the management team. We are sorry this happened and can report that Derek no longer works at Cramer Toyota. Cramer Toyota is the only 19 year President Award Winning Toyota Store in the state of Florida and one of only 13 in the country. To achieve this award, every department in the dealership must excel to the highest standard. We try every day to focus each employee towards that goal. We are sorry that you had this experience, and can ensure that it will never happen again as the person referred to is no longer employed. We hope that you give us another chance. If you have any questions please contact me at 941-484-9000. Richard Bond, General Manager

Venice Toyota responded

While Cramer Toyota of Venice took a non-refundable deposit from the Guin's to secure the car of their choice. Before the vehicle was secured, all of the equipment and the color was approved by the Guin's. In fact, the customer being concerned about color actually checked out the color. The vehicle was a hard to get vehicle with an undesirable quirky equipment combo so that is why Cramer Toyota took a non-refundable deposit. The way that the customer equipped the vehicle and the color combination made it a hard vehicle to sell to another customer. The customer was fully aware that once the deposit was given and Cramer Toyota spent the money to secured the vehicle that if they choose not to buy the vehicle they would forfeit the deposit. While it is unfortunate that the customer changed their minds, they knew that it would result in the forfeit of their deposit. I am happy to speak with the customer personally if they have any questions about this incident. General Manager Richard Bond
