Village Toyota in Homosassa, Florida, is a throwback to better times, when shopping for cars. I called and set an appointment. Our salesman, Christian Figueroa, was very open with us and was also quite kno better times, when shopping for cars. I called and set an appointment. Our salesman, Christian Figueroa, was very open with us and was also quite knowledgeable about not only the cars we looked at, but also what was on the lot and many features on those vehicles. The dealer made us a good deal and was helpful with all our questions. This experience was so much better than the new style dealers that have product specialists, then salespeople, then managers, then finance. This was 2 people, Christian and the finance man. Very low pressure, but a good deal. The finance man was open with us and asked us what we were looking for, rather than trying to sell us things for the car we did not need. It was a "good" car-buying experience. We will visit them again when we need a new car. Thank you, Village Cadillac Toyota. More
LOVE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK? DO NOT COME HERE FOR SERVICE OR REPAIRS. I came in to Village Toyota for a warranty repair and left with a 4,000 lb paperweight with less than 60,0 DO NOT COME HERE FOR SERVICE OR REPAIRS. I came in to Village Toyota for a warranty repair and left with a 4,000 lb paperweight with less than 60,000 miles on it. After 6 months, I'm still without my truck,. On 10/9/2025, I brought my 2022 Tacoma in for a warranty repair (defective head from the factory). Due to the nature of the repair, the job took a few weeks, but fairly soon, I was back on the road... or so I thought. Less than a week after I got my truck back, I started the truck up and a big puff of white smoke came out the tailpipe. Even with the cold weather, this obviously wasn't normal. I also noticed a squealing sound from under the hood, especially when it was cold out. I had a new job in Charleston, SC that I was starting in a few weeks and needed to be sure that my truck was going to be reliable, so naturally, I scheduled a follow-up appointment with Village Toyota for 11/04/2025. When I arrived, I was greeted by a service advisor and told that, before we took the time to start a service ticket, they would have the technician who did the job come out to speak with me. The technician had me open the hood and he explained that the smoke may have been some loose lubricant leftover from the head installation that got sucked into the intake manifold...no biggie. I was assured repeatedly that everything was alright and that there was nothing to worry about. Finally, I'm on my way to my new job in Charleston, doing about 70 mph up I-95 when the truck suddenly loses power and the transmission shifts down a gear. I managed to make it into Charleston before the truck bucked and downshifted AGAIN. The following day, when I go to merge onto the highway, the truck refused to go over 20mph. I tried everything I could think of that I could do on the side of the interstate (turning the truck off and on, disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, shifting drive to reverse and back again). Nothing helped. I limped my truck to a Toyota dealer in Charleston who, after weeks of diagnostics, finally determined that the issue appeared to be an obstruction in the high pressure fuel system, which was forcing the truck into limp mode. Naturally, a quick call down to Village Toyota to get a repair approval and I should be good to go, right? No. For 6 months now, my truck with NO previous problems has been sitting at this dealership in South Carolina because Village Toyota keeps giving the run-around. If you plan to have your vehicle serviced here, Village has proven that they will not take accountability for an error in their workmanship and, like me, you may be left without a vehicle to drive. My concerns regarding the symptoms that started showing up immediately following my service with them were not taken seriously and now I have no vehicle. More
