I went to Kia because my son leases his car from them and is very happy with it. I appreciated the fact that I could take a test drive, ask questions and not be pressured to make a deal that day. Shawn Hoyt runs the lite version of bait and switch where he quotes an impossibly low price and then says he "made a mistake" and his "manager won't let me go any lower" than a price way above what he quoted he quotes an impossibly low price and then says he "made a mistake" and his "manager won't let me go any lower" than a price way above what he quoted. He used other sleezy sales tactics like telling us he "went out on a limb" by already giving us a deal when we asked him the sticker price. And then he denied the whole thing. The sad part is that I really wanted the car, and the higher price he was trying to "trick" me into was well within the range I had expected to pay for it, so the chicanery was totally unnecessary, and wound up blowing what should have been an easy sale (I had cash and wanted to buy same day, I knew which car I wanted, and it was within my budget). When we called him out on the deception he became combative and even at one point told us to "have a nice life". (I was not being at all rude, beyond telling him plainly that I didn't believe him because his story was "coincidentally" the oldest car sales trick in the book). I'm actually mostly mad because I really wanted that car, but now I can't buy it from Vision because the dude lied and wouldn't cop to it. Sad. More

Great sales, service terrible! 1900 miles on used vehicle in a year...annual inspection.. low & behold tie rod fails inspection. Repaired elsewhere, reinspection...'oh, we forgot to tell you serpentine belt in a year...annual inspection.. low & behold tie rod fails inspection. Repaired elsewhere, reinspection...'oh, we forgot to tell you serpentine belt also bad' so now overdue for inspection...service manager refused to correct the mistake THEY made. Called management...'we'll call you right back'...7 days, the crickets are worn out... No response. Service supposedly checked 20+ things, including tires..my spare was totally flat, valve rusted in place...souvh road dirt obvious it hadn't been touched. Techs apparently not checking much other than the boxes...service manager shows 0 respect for Customer. Thumbs way down. More
