I'd called ahead for an appointment with Rex Manchester, who I wasn't prepared for the delightful experience I experienced yesterday at VW of Naples. I'd called ahead for an appointment with Rex Manchester, who I heard was down to earth, not too pushy and would look out for my best interest, qualities that were important to me. I wasn't disappointed! I told Rex right off the bat I was only there to understand my options for a trade in and lease. I wasn't interested in test driving cars or picking out colors. Besides, I never would buy a car in one day and also wanted to compare VW to other dealers. Rex didn't blink. He didn't argue or try to convince me differently. He simply grinned and said, "This will be fun. Let's get started." We spent a few minutes looking at models in the showroom and lot -- several I liked and a few I didn't. Rex asked pertinent questions to best define my driving experience. Then he left to figure out the best financial deal for me, based on my criteria. Each time I had a question, Rex answered with information that explained away my fear and doubt. The lease package he eventually crafted for me met my every expectation. And the car -- oh, the car! It had more features than the luxury vehicles I've driven in the past. And then I took a test drive. Heaven! Rex explained the suspension, braking system and safety features as I zoomed around turns and down a straightaway. It was fun and so informative. I still believed it was prudent to hold off and compare. But armed with the information Rex provided, the test drive and the financial package, there WAS no comparison. OUTSTANDING service and attention to detail I recently had an event that required me to seek out a new vehicle , and i needed it right away. I haven't dealt with a car dealer in a good amount I recently had an event that required me to seek out a new vehicle , and i needed it right away. I haven't dealt with a car dealer in a good amount of time and this had my anxiety high. I was looking for a quality auto at my current price point and felt i had few options that would fill my desire for reliability, safety and performance. I looked into various automobile dealers and specs but felt i owed good solid German engineering a try , and reached out to Volkswagen of Naples (FL). I phoned and was greeted by an enthusiastic gentleman named Rex. We set a day to meet and and discuss what i was looking for. The Meeting : I arrived at the dealer and was set at ease right away by Rex's instant recognition of who i was and what i was looking for per our brief phone exchange... a vehicle that i hat inquired about was sitting front lot ready to be tested ( without the usual other dealer fumbling for keys and location of the car to be checked out). The model tested was a 2014 Passat. automatic 1.8 litr turbo (SE i think). Rex ease with all pertinent detail and specification made me feel i was in the right place and that i was speaking with a fun fellow with not only superior knowledge of his product line but had the dexterity to compare competing automobile company's cars in the class i was looking at. I expressed a desire for a car that fit my parameters ..... im tall and require legroom but most importantly needed a car that was safe. I have a young child and wanted solid German engineering surrounding me and my family. The Passat was a refreshing surprise for a 20- 30 K auto .. Room ,style ,nice engine , and excellent quality. While i liked the drive i was wondering if I couldn't have this car in a standard version. I wanted to feel the fun of driving a car again and wanted a bit more control and a bit of a change from my last car of 13 yrs. Rex was right on it. The systems are robust and quick and Rex had an answer for me straight away that in the inventory one was available. During all the time that we tested and before getting the second Passat to test Rex was a constant pal, good humored and very positive. A motivated guy who enjoys conversation and people. And thats important. Second Passat. TSI SE 1.8 turbo stick beige interior black dash , and some cool blue color that i realy cant describe. We drove, I was sold. Fun, good looking,SAFE , responsive , nice xtras, tunes etc... The point is this was a fun sporty very well designed for room German auto at an incredible price point. Rex had me at the desk for what can be in an auto purchase similar to laying on the rack and here come the shackles and the stretch for the next couple of hours. Not the case. Fluid, efficient , and no mistakes. Did i mention Rex's attention to detail (?) its holistic... not just the sale but well versed and smooth through the entire process. Helpful and funny. I didnt feel the car purchase pain. So to end , we had a seamless experience directed by Rex Manchester and actually enjoyed the process the entire way through. We did the deal, i walked out for a concise tutorial on the gadgets that the 2014 Passat had to offer ( cool stuff) by Rex. Swaped keys for a handshake, and drove off. I Love the car, it suits so well. Rex and i have had conversations after the sale as to how im doin with it, and aided me with taking in my now dead former car as part of the very acomodative deal that the team at Naples Volks provided. Rex. Professional , clear , not in a rush, highly qualified , detail oriented and knows his business front to back. Works well his colleagues and you can tell.. you can always spot that if he wasn't a team player. My former car for my Volkswagen Passat: I mention this because from what i had i only expected disappointment with my new auto. I was wrong and am satisfied. My old auto was a terrific BMW 740 il 1998 ( no expense ever spared ) a top notch car, BUT i was very happy to receive great news in the Passat that im having fun with and know my kids safe.
