Service Department Competence I took a car to them that was running rough, misfire codes that I couldn't fix. They charged me $625 to remove the intake and then declare the car needed a new engine and that would run over $9,000. Obviously, I declined and picked up the car. Some internet research, a few new tools, and I narrowed it down to a valve. Took it to a local guy and $2,200 later and a head job, it's as good as new. Save your time and money and skip the service department. $625 for nothing and not to recognize the motor as repairable is reason enough to steer clear. Everyone was nice, so I guess that's something. More

Traded-in & traded-up I traded — practically swapped— a 2016 Toyota hybrid RAV4 for a new 2019 Jetta S with almost the same number of amenities except that now I have a s I traded — practically swapped— a 2016 Toyota hybrid RAV4 for a new 2019 Jetta S with almost the same number of amenities except that now I have a six speed stick shift that’s fun to drive rather than a soulless hybrid. I even get better gas mileage now than I did with the hybrid. The staff are fun to talk to and easy to deal with as well. More

Rescued us and wouldn’t allow us to pay We were headed from Ohio to Florida and hit a plastic barrel on the highway, which knocked out our VW’s front sensors and lit up our instrument cluste We were headed from Ohio to Florida and hit a plastic barrel on the highway, which knocked out our VW’s front sensors and lit up our instrument cluster with multiple alerts. We showed up at Jeff Smith VW service with no appointment and asked if Service could squeeze us in. Kay, the service advisor, stopped what she was doing and attended to us right away. Geoff in Service took care of our vehicle, fixed the sensors, made some adjustments, road tested the vehicle and explained what he had done. Jeff Smith VW refused to charge us or allow us at least to pay for the labor. They hugged us and sent us in our way with prayers for a safe trip. Wow! What caring, compassionate, genuinely kind, and helpful people! More
