I had been to 2 other VW dealerships and when I got to VW of West Islip, I was greeted by Pablo. His energy was at another level which for me was nice as the 2 other places, the sales guys were very stiff an of West Islip, I was greeted by Pablo. His energy was at another level which for me was nice as the 2 other places, the sales guys were very stiff and only wanted to know if I was buying a car. Pablo didn't ask if i was buying a car. He showed me the Atlas Cross Sport which is the car my wife and I wanted, explained all the features and took us on the test drive, all though we had already test driven it before, we did with him. What a great ride!!! Learned he comes from a military family and has 2 step daughters, one of which is going to college this year. He was genuinely a nice regular guy and didn't talk about the car at all on the test drive. I loved that. We ended up purchasing the car and got a great deal with the best salesman. If you are looking for a VW, you have to go see Pablo and be ready to be pleased with the car buying as in the world we live in, most are grimy and only care about a sale. He made us feel like family and now has a customer for as long as he is there!!!! Thank you Pablo and VW of West Islip!!!! Keep up the good work!!!! More

Sleazy. Here’s how it works… First they swipe your credit card for $500 telling you they want you to do that in good faith bargaining. The price negot Here’s how it works… First they swipe your credit card for $500 telling you they want you to do that in good faith bargaining. The price negotiation is chaotic… But they have something else up their sleeve – they’re waiting to hit you with unreasonable fees, once you have come to terms on “a deal and a price“ They have you insure the car before the deal is finalized… To kind of lock you into it. Then you get into the finance office where you are hit with unreasonable fees that can total in our case $10,000! (A little more negotiation and they got it down to about $8000). There is no transparency… little disclosure… serious questions are answered with a joke. Really a bad experience… On top of it all the $500 good Faith money – they refuse to return it… It’s hard to believe dealerships like this can stay business in the digital age… So I’m doing my civic duty here by spreading the word about a dealership you should avoid. Wish I had! More
