Wow what can I say, I've owned several Honda cars over the past 30 years and this was the most unpleasant situation I've been in with a Honda service department. I took my car in to have service perform a the past 30 years and this was the most unpleasant situation I've been in with a Honda service department. I took my car in to have service perform at Waldorf Honda and when I arrived for pickup, my car wouldn't start. Come to find out that their porter or mechanic left the dome lights on for 2 days and killed the battery. They gave me a jump and I headed back home thinking everything would be fine since the battery was fairly new. The next morning it wouldn't start. The service advisor did not offer to have someone jump my car so I had to call AAA. After they tested my battery, both the service advisor and service manager both decided not to take any responsibility over this issue and told me that my car was ready for pickup - by text of course. After a very uncomfortable conversion with the service manager he stated that he would get one of his mechanics in install a battery but I had to go purchase a new one. Luckily it was still under warranty. Two days of my time going back and forth over an issue that was caused by their department. When I returned with the battery, the service advisor did not greet me or acknowledge me . When my car was ready, she rudely told me that someone will be dropping my car by. This was a simple issue that could have been dealt with in a customer friendly and professional manner but they chose not to. This bad experience has left a very bad taste in my mouth. They are definitely in need of a refresher course in customer service. They have lost me as a customer at this dealership. Also, as I was leaving the service department, I noticed a chart with their customer service ratings in the 90 percentile and I thought no way. They must be rating themselves. More
