I am extremely disappointed in my experience with Walser Nissan. I purchased a used Chevy 1500 from this location approximately six months ago. At the time of purchase, I was assured the truck was in excell Nissan. I purchased a used Chevy 1500 from this location approximately six months ago. At the time of purchase, I was assured the truck was in excellent working condition, including documentation stating the brake pads were rated 9 out of 12. However, I recently began experiencing severe brake issues—grinding noises, damaged rotors, and broken brake sensor lines. Two independent shops confirmed the severity and quoted me $650 for the repairs. I also discovered that the wheels were aftermarket and required a locking key, which I was never given. I brought the truck to Walser for evaluation, believing this was a possible warranty concern or, at minimum, an issue of good faith and safety. Instead, I was quoted over $1,300 and told that none of the damage (including broken brake sensors that should have been caught during the original inspection) would be covered. After multiple discussions, I was offered only $200 off the total. I reluctantly approved the work because the brakes were unsafe to drive. In addition, an employee at the service desk admitted they had already pulled up my information before I even said anything, stating they “knew I’d want to talk about the price” because I had just purchased the vehicle recently. That suggests internal awareness that the situation wasn’t normal. Communication was poor throughout. I had to repeatedly reach out for updates, and I was told my truck was ready for pickup when it actually hadn’t even returned from a different Walser location where it had been sent for further diagnosis. That added several more days to the repair. Later, I was told exhaust studs were broken and would cost $600 to fix—yet no photos or documentation were ever provided, despite my request. I had serious doubts about whether this was even a real issue. The general manager, Jason Loechler, repeatedly insisted the truck left the dealership in good condition and that they trust their mechanics. He implied that I might have caused the issues through my own driving and made comments that discouraged any attempt to escalate my concerns, claiming court would not go in my favor because he had “seen it before.” While he eventually offered to cover the exhaust work “as a favor,” the overall tone felt dismissive and patronizing. In short: I was sold a vehicle with brake sensor damage, poor inspection records, no wheel key, and was left to deal with escalating repair costs and communication failures. I do not feel that Walser stood by their product or their customer. I regret purchasing this vehicle from this dealership and will not be returning. More
