Impressed with first service I was my own mechanic for about 40 years and forced to rely on others now that I am older. I wanted to find a good VW dealer that would perform quality service on the 2012 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagon. On April 25th, 2016 my wife and I had an appointment to get the Direct Shift Gearbox oil changed. They performed that service AND did the clockspring dust cover, updated the TDI engine software, a courtesy walk-around inspection and finally a complementary wash. I initially thought the three hour time required was excessive but on reflection want the mechanic(s) to have sufficient time to do the job correctly. I expected a bill for three hours service but it was only about one hour ($90 plus tax) for the service. In the end I was thoroughly pleased with the service and fully intend to drive the 100 miles from my house for any service I want a VW dealer to perform. Schmitt's far out-shines the two other VW dealers I have used since buying the Jetta in 2013. I would have awarded five stars but keep in mind this was only the first visit involving limited service. More

simple fix, outstanding service I ran into Schmitt vw/audi to have them take a look at the clicking noise in my 've Jetta (2014 purchased in March). I thought I better get it looked at before the warranty was up. Turns out there was just a small piece of paper in the well where the blower sits (under the blower motor so difficult to get at). Here's where I'm going to knock 've a bit (even though I have loved the car so far) I was told I have to pay the diagnostic fee to have it removed. Now I was a bit upset but I certainly didn't want to pay 90 dollars for pulling out a piece of paper. This is where Lisa gets a 5 star review, she took it upon herself to go ahead and remove the invasive slip of paper at no charge. I want all dealers to know this, because of this service I will always bring my vehicle back here for service and will certainly visit here first if I might need a more family sized vehicle in the future. Compimentary 30,000 mile service. Arrived for my service visit 20 minutes early. I was escorted to my service representative. My paperwork was completed in advance. The service rep Lisa was very friendly and helped me with some billing complications. She was the only good part of my experience. Also now by some coincidence my truck is running rough when heavy throttle applied. I had inquired why my suv was running they way is was and making noise they replaced the drive shafts. It didn't seem to jive with me but I'm not a service tech and left it to what I thought they said was the issue. After paying the deductible on my warranty I'm still having issues. Its moderately annoying that further work needs to be done and time taken away from my day to day work. I'm not a wealthy man I need to be at my office to make ends meet. Now I have to allocate more of my time and $$$ to get the job completed More
