Buyer Beware!! 5 Stars for Railroading People I think this is one of the worst places you can go to. They will railroad you into buying a car from them. Well I can only speak from MY experience. I went online see what specials they had and I was contacted by numerous companies. A nice lady name Paulette contacted me and told me to come in to see what specials they had. I informed her that I was only looking at the time. I went in and she introduced me to this sales guy "WES." I told Wes straight out that i'm only looking around to get price quotes at this time and that I had other places that I had appointments to check out. I told him what my max would be and I wanted to see stuff within that budget. He said no problem and told me to put my info in the system so he'll know what he's working with. He had me test drive a car to see what I thought. I told him that it was ok but I actually would like to know if the CHR is in my budget. He told me don't worry your approved for the 0% and it'll fit in my budget. I said ok that's great just let me know what everything would be and i'll look it over later with my Father since he couldn't be here and get back to you. He asked me what insurance co was i with and if I had my insurance card with me? I said yes I keep it with me. He said he was seeing if my insurance would cover one of these new vehicles, since my car is a 2004. I thought wow that's nice of you. My sister and I kept asking him, like how much would this run me, so we could get out of there to make it elsewhere. Then this manager comes out and sits with me and say well for the car it could cost around xyz, and I told him and WES that no that was above my budget and I couldn't afford it, and they said what am I afraid of? I told them late payment or better yet REPO. He said well If you qualify for 0% then I would get it down. I said well Wes already said that I qualified, but i'm NOT looking to buy tonight anyway. He said ok and walked away. My sister asked Wes when can we get the quote so we could get out of here? He said to just hold on a little longer that the young lady in the office wanted to show me what the breakout would be. Then he said here are your keys. I said why are you giving me keys. I'm not buying tonight, and he just smiled. My sister said he's just joking. My sister said what she got the 0% and they got it to her budget or something? WES said yup. I said well that's great if I qualify for the car than I should definitely qualify for the truck. Wes said yes! The next thing I know Wes is saying the young lady is ready for you. I go in and this girl Yanira said this is what your monthly payment is. It was almost $100 OVER what I told the manager I could never afford. I said oh wow why would it be so much? I can't afford that so I don't need your quote. She said no this is your car. My sister and I look at each other and said what do you mean? She said well you didn't qualify for the 0% and we did a hard inquiry on you for a loan already to your credit and you won't qualify any place else before two years, if you keep in mind that you keep up all of your bills in that time. I said I didn't tell you to process a loan for me. I was only getting a quote. She said that you wouldn't still be here if you didn't want a car, and if you go any other place you will be paying the same price for a cheaper car. I said you can't do that. I'll just call to check and see my credit score is not still 700 when I just checked it 3-4 weeks ago. She said I wouldn't do that if I was you. Your little credit karma score is different than a hard inquiry for a loan. I said I don't even want this car I actually liked the CHR better if I was going to get something. I said well Im just going to turn it right back over to you right now. She said you can't, once she printed the papers the value of the car went down 33%. I told her I never told her or WES to print those paper. I told her that this is HORRIBLE what you all just pulled. She said a word to the wise, next time don't give them all of your info up front and SMILED. I let her know that I gave it under the false impression that I had to put that info in to get the quote. I don't know what the manager name is that I spoke with, but I think all three of them are EXTREMELY Horrible Individuals. Although they scammed me. GOD HAS THE LAST WORD. In My Opinion, WES RICHARDS is a LIAR, a FAKE, and a FRAUD! I would hate to think of what you would have done Wes, had this been your granddaughter you spoke of!! I have no idea where or how anything works, since nothing was explained to me. The car has this loud wind sound like a window is down somewhere even though they're up when you're driving..WOW I'm so HAPPY for all of you who had a positive impression with Toyota of Westbury, but I can't say that I did.....
