I am extremely dissatisfied with the service provided from this dealer, and recommend that others look elsewhere for service. My 2007 Camry had dash lights that lit up indicating VSC. Not wanting to ignore this message, I took the car to the dealer (after 3 years with virtually no problems). The Service department charged me to plug in a diagnostic device to see what codes came out. On Feb 22, and again on March 16, the same VSC codes showed completely different problems. My first visit cost over $200, I was assured the problem was fixed. Sure enough, the same VSC light came on 3 weeks later. That 2nd visit cost over $500, and again I was assured the problem was fixed. Are these guys serious? Do I look like such a sucker? I have no faith in the ability of the Service department to diagnose my vehicle's problems, and I will take my cars to another dealer in the future. In researching this problem, I learned that other owners of 2007 Camrys are having the same problems with the VSC lights. I got soaked for over $700, and have NO confidence that the problem is fixed. I will not look to a different dealer in the future for service, and will seriously consider not buying a Toyota for fear of a repeat of this problem. CAVEAT EMPTOR - Buyer Beware! These guys are clueless. If they suggest that an expensive repair is needed, DRIVE AWAY and get another mechanic to look at your car. Sorry, Westbury Toyota, you lost a customer. More

Easy, Smooth Process We went to Westbury Toyota hoping that we could pick out a new truck and avoid the haggling process with salesman fighting us for every penny. Lying, Cheating, Untrustworthy People Never buy anything from them, they will lie to you and take your money. tldr: 1. They said one price for my trade, and wrote up a $500 lower price, which is lying. 2. They said I could pay off the full loan in a few days, but didn't submit my paperwork for a month, costing me hundreds more in interest, which is lying. 3. They omitted the fact it had only one key, costing me $300. 1. We verbally agreed to a trade in value for my vehicle, and they wrote it up as $500 less than the verbal agreement and I didn't notice when we walked through all the numbers. So yeah, I should've read things way more closely, but f-them for telling me one thing and writing up something different. 2. They gave me the choice of financing or walking away because they would not take credit card and I didn't have a bankers check that day. I understand why they wouldn't want to take credit card for the full price and I respect that business choice of theirs. But to sell me on the financing, they said I could pay of the financing in a few days. Anthony in finance sat there and calculated a few days of interest being around $100 and said that's all I'd have to pay if I paid the full amount to Toyota. So I chose financing because I wanted the car and a few days of interest would be acceptable. Yet they dragged their feet for a month to get my account info to Toyota Finance so I could even set things up. That is costing me hundreds extra in interest and is ten times the amount they said I would have to pay, 3 days vs 30. Plus they didn't even give me any contact info for Toyota Finance when I left. 3. They omitted the fact the used car I was buying had only one key, so now that's $300 more I have to pay to get a new key made - which I will do at a different dealership because I will never work with them again. You should never work with them either! And Toyota corporate is at fault for this one because that's a corporate policy. Still a good dealership would tell you about it, and a great dealership would say to heck with corporate and just make two keys for their used cars. My advice to you: go to any other dealership, DON'T EVER work with Westbury Toyota. More

The Customer is Not always right! I am writing about my recent car buying experience. I don’t believe that the customer is always right; but I do believe that the customer should be tr I am writing about my recent car buying experience. I don’t believe that the customer is always right; but I do believe that the customer should be treated professionally with dignity and respect. What could have been a pain-free experience for your dealership and for me turned out to be a experience I would not wish upon anyone. First of all, while searching on the Internet I saw the vehicle of my dreams that happened to be at Westbury Toyota -- more than 1,000 miles from me. Despite that, I went to my credit union and secured the financing to purchase the vehicle. I interacted with a salesperson at Westbury, explained my situation and that I'd be flying in with a check from my credit union to purchase the vehicle. After discussing that, I booked my flight and made plans to travel from the Kansas City, Missouri area to Westbury to purchase the vehicle on January 9, 2016. I won’t bore you with every detail but the lack of professionalism started with Anthony Antonetti. He refused to help me complete the transaction and would not accept the check from Mazuma Credit Union. I had researched the process of purchasing a car in New York and moving it to Kansas and tried to explain to him how it would go to the lien holder on the title, the paying of sales tax, and about registration requirements. Even if he wasn't familiar with the credit union, the check, or the registration process in Kansas, instead of discussing with me he shut me down. I asked to speak to the manager and Julian Gonzalez came to his office. I explained to Anthony and Julian the procedures for paying sales tax and registering the car in the state of Kansas. Julian’s response to me and I paraphrase; “that he is sure I am a professional in my job and know what I am doing and they are professionals and know what they are doing.” They both were adamant on how it was done in the state of New York and were stuck on that. I actually ended up leaving that same day without the vehicle. Not what I thought I'd be doing, but I soon was on the Long Island RR and having to make quick plans, I incurred hotel expense and spend additional dollars to fly home. Even with all that, I did not give up. After numerous conversations with the employees of the New York DMV and after further online research with the state of New York, I again faxed information from the state of NEW YORK AND from the KANSAS DMV on the collection of sales tax and registering the vehicle to your management team. Their response was as follows, verbatim from an e-mail dated 1/14/16 from Anthony: “My manager Julian said if you don’t my comply the way we instructed you .We don’t want to do the DEAL.” I am Navy veteran with over 25 years of service to this country including Viet Nam and Operation Desert Storm. Believe me; I understand an order and complying. But is this really the way to treat a customer who is trying to purchase a car from your dealership? The fact is that I did want the car and was looking for them to look at the information I faxed to them and to effectively/professionally communicate with me. I took the high road and wrote back wanting to make sure to "comply" as instructed. I then flew back to New York City and returned to Westbury Toyota on Saturday January 16, 2016 to purchase the vehicle from your dealership. No apologies were offered or courtesies provided as I gave Anthony everything he requested. However, we have since learned that he completely complicated the transaction. The bottom line is the sales tax DID NOT have to be paid at the time of purchase. As I said to him on my first visit, the registration physically takes place in the state of Kansas and the lien holder is attached to the title at the time of registration. In working to clear everything, I owe thanks to Iris Jackson who researched and set things straight. This debacle from the management team of your dealership cost me an additional $1,500.00 in flights and travel, time and stress all because I pursued purchasing my dream car from you. I know I had options, but it really should not have been this difficult and unpleasant. The lack of courtesy, respect and professionalism was shocking. There still remains the $37.50 that has not been refunded to me. More
