Pushy sales, story about why to buy extra warranty, clear coat, windshield insurance, pushy. Then treated us like crap because we said no to everything. I tried on my doorstep with other Kia dealers and they were all doing me a FAVOR. Westside Kia called me, confirmed what i needed. Structured the deal i needed to secure my business. I signed the agreement and left with a brand new vehicle, a very competitive deal, a wife that is very happy with her new car and a full tank of gas for good measure More
ATTENTION KIA EV OWNERS: When you purchase an electric vehicle, most of us are aware this is new technology and understand that bugs will come up. Sadly, the Kia dealerships here in the Houston area in ge vehicle, most of us are aware this is new technology and understand that bugs will come up. Sadly, the Kia dealerships here in the Houston area in general, and this one in particular are NOT ready to provide service to their own electric vehicles. Additionally, Kia seems to be completely flat-footed when it comes to mitigating the inevitable inconveniences that owning emerging technology comes with. We recently purchased a pre-owned EV6. The 12V battery died and will not hold a charge. We are now going on day 18 of attempting to get this resolved. While the battery discharges every night, the 'tablet' continues to show that the battery is good. Kia apparently does not take the word of their own certified EV technicians and will only warranty it if the 'tablet' shows it is bad. However, each morning, it is completely dead and therefore cannot be picked up. The hold up seems to be the District Manager who merely has to sign off on approving the replacement despite the recalcitrant 'tablet'. However, for whatever reason the District Manager has elected to avoid answering the phone for the service department, us personally, and even Kia--allowing all calls to go to voicemail that apparently is never checked. Kia, the dealership in general, and the service department in particular could do A LOT more to mitigate the expected inconveniences of their early customers to this new technology starting with better communication. Although we are told we will be called, notified, etc., it never happens and we have call, wade through all the automated 'press x for such and such', sit on hold in order to be given updates. Secondly, we should be provided a loaner vehicle instead of having to rent a vehicle at our expense and then *hopefully* get reimbursed. We are day 18 and have only been promised *potentially* to be reimbursed I *hope* Kia will do the right thing and reimburse for the entire time that we have had to come out of pocket for a rental. I *hope* that the District Manager will do the right thing, trust her technicians over a clearly wrong 'tablet' and just approve the battery replacement already! This seems to be a relatively inexpensive solution so I am having a hard time understanding the foot dragging. It feels very much that Westside Kia resents electric vehicles and only begrudgingly provides service for them and then in such a way as to make this customer feel unwanted and unappreciated.
