I’ve been working with this dealer for past 10 days on securing a new vehicle and wow, mind blown. If you’re the type of person who wants to experience all the stereotypical dealer tricks and shady tactic securing a new vehicle and wow, mind blown. If you’re the type of person who wants to experience all the stereotypical dealer tricks and shady tactics this place is for you. I felt like I was in a comedic car dealership mockery tik tok video that went viral. I had a lot of hope because everyone was truly nice until numbers entered the conversation. I really thought the industry has purged all the nonsense from the car buying process - after all they pride themselves on it right? When this place was Sunnyside and purchased my last car I had a phenomenally good 5 star experience. Get this folks - they have a “corporate policy” to charge you an extra $1500 for nitrogen in tires and a permaplate car wash. Sure the owner will respond to this negative review explaining how great it is and how I am getting more than that what the surface shows but let’s get real - look this stuff up yourself - a common red flag xxxx dealer scam. Brand new car has perfectly fine paint and protection, air is air, and the “extras” beyond the surface are things already likely part of standard toyotacare on a new vehicle purchase, typical insurance perk or minimal $5/year cost adder and for sure AAA. The dealers cost for this “required” service is probably less than $100 and remember folks - this is required!!! Why would anyone spend $500 on nitrogen in tires ($125/each) to “protect” them for a car where a brand new tires cost $150 each. Imagine buying a new pair of Nikes for $150 and the store saying you need a mandatory stain resistant spray application for $125 before you can walk out the door. That $5 can of stain spray can spray 100s of shoes before it’s gone - that is what is going on here. If they want to use predatory sales tactics on an unsuspecting targets the target should at least have the option to opt out….but saying it is required - really? Mind blown - In what world? I’d like the owner to respond with a sensible reason to why a charging a customer an extra $1500 is “required” vs. some silly generic response that they take customer feedback seriously and to call. I bet they won’t say anything. Intelligent because it is simply an extra money grab from customers - on top of full msrp pricing and a sham trade value. I won’t get into the trade-in appraisal but that was grossly understated with fundamental flaws. I wasted a bunch of time with the new “westside” regime. Said succinctly - I now have $4000 more in my pocket by buying the exact same vehicle from a different local dealer. More

Sarah answered all of my questions, took calls and texts immediately, arranged appointments to see me with ease, and was a pleasure to work with. I had an unusual circumstance arise in the process and Sarah and Al Phillips, who helped me purchase a few cars in the past years put their heads together and provided the perfect solution. I started out requesting a new car and ended up with the perfect slightly used car. I couldn't imagine better service. Thank you!!! More

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! !! Buyer Beware!!! (Inflated 5 Start Ratings on this business as they push for reviews on Final Sales!!!) NOTE-Alleged Predatory Business Practice !! Buyer Beware!!! (Inflated 5 Start Ratings on this business as they push for reviews on Final Sales!!!) NOTE-Alleged Predatory Business Practices. I am writing this review after my warranty period with them so there is no retaliation. This is my first vehicle from this dealer and I get the impression things have changed with the recent new management of Five Star Auto Group, LLC. The Bad - Red Flags 1. "REQUIRED" Options on preowned Vehicles (Paint Correction & Nitrogen Tires) 2. Sales People are High Pressure and Unorganized 3. Rude Staff 4. Upper management treated Techs poorly. 5. Long Wait Times. The Good 1. Let the car be put on a lift so I could do a personal inspection. #1 ISSUE - Westside Toyota had a 2015 Honda Fit listed for 13,999. The Final sale paper I was originally presented with had the car listed at 18K.. They brought in the salesperson who stated they were non-negotiable on the price and were rather stern with me when discussing how I expected there to be a max of $1000 for Tax/Title/Fees associated and was planning to be around the 15k range total. I was told they have "Nitrogen Tires" that are $400 PER TIRE. This was a non-negotiable item that they do "On All our Pre-Owned Vehicles". Only after hassling did they take off this fee BUT THEY DISCOUNTED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE INSTEAD OF TAKING OFF THE FEE FOR THE TIRES (Shady because I do not know what agreement there is for the Nitrogen system in the document) I was then told that they did a paint correction on the vehicle for $1000. I don't know what they did because this car is a 2015 and had chips in the paint along the hood and rear panels. It's my thought that they are including these "Bonus Features" To reduce the negotiating room for their customers when buying the vehicles as they will sit and let you cook waiting for "Upper Management" to approve taking off-the-line items. #2 Issue - Sales People are under High Pressure and Unorganized In tandem with #1, I had to repeatedly ask for copies of what I was signing (Foreshadowing #3). When I wanted to take time to read the documentation through I felt rushed. When we talked about the price they were on the top end and multiple times I had to push back against "Document Fees" and other add-ons. When we finally agreed on a price the salesperson stated "And If we Do that Price You will Do that Today!?" I could tell he was anxious and I got the Feeling he was just trying to extract as much value out of me rather than actually wanting to work with me and my needs. #3 Issue - Rude Staff Specifically, when I request copies of documentation that I had signed as part of agreements to #2 I was told that I already had it and already agreed on the final price. I never agreed on the final price and just initialed the price the sales representative stated when I was with him $15,500. When I request a copy of this document where I agreed to the final Price the sales Rep (Samantha) got up and started her way to the printer where she Mumbled "xxxxing Christ" Under her breath (I distinctly remembered this and did not hear this incorrectly she actually said this) as I have never had such inappropriate behavior when I want to protect myself after the shady dealings of #1 Issue. Laster Found Out that I DIDNT Sign a Final Agreement and they produced a New Document for me to Sign. #4 Issue - Upper Management Treated Techs Poorly. When the salesperson talked to the Technicians about allowing me to inspect the car there was a clear tone change towards the Technician from the Sales rep that just felt cold. Along the lines of "Just let him do what he wants. Ok?" There was a Missing Jack Stand that I questioned about and they did get me another after I mentioned it but not the insert to strap it down. I was originally told "They don't include them nowadays" Despite this car having a spare in the Trunk.... More
