When I go into Waling City Ford it’s like walking into my neighbors house.I know most of them and even if they don’t know me they act like they do. I came to Whaling City hoping to make a deal on a trade in and new car sale and I left disappointed and unimpressed. The salesman, Joe Lamonica, came across as a nice guy, but was not particularly knowledg in and new car sale and I left disappointed and unimpressed. The salesman, Joe Lamonica, came across as a nice guy, but was not particularly knowledgeable on the various options and features of the car I was interested in. He frequently turned to the list on the window sticker to answer my questions. We proceeded to go back and forth negotiating the price for my trade in, and I felt like I was being made to fight tooth-and-nail to get a fair deal. They were completely unwilling to move at all on the price of the new car (at MSRP) based on the apparently huge favor they were doing me in offering a fair price for my trade in. Pricing details felt convoluted and too much emphasis was put on the additional fees which made bargaining confusing. I was also lead to believe that the 0% financing and $1500 loyalty rebate offered by Mazda were not normally able to be combined, which was just wrong outright. I went to another dealer and easily got a better price for both my trade in and the new car sale without the hassle I experienced here. More
Dan Corriveau was very pleasant to work with. He went through all of the car’s features without talking down to me. I didn’t feel pressured to purchase. When the dealership got very busy toward the afternoon, Dan made sure to sincerely apologize when he was held up with another customer. One thing I will point out (nothing to do with Dan) I was contacted several times via email to come in for a test drive, confirmed and reconfirmed my appointment. When I came in it was like no one knew I would be there. I started to feel very anxious and almost left after spending a good amount of time just awkwardly standing in the lobby. It was a little uncomfortable- oh well I’ll blame it on the Coronavirus. Thanks for a great experience Dan- I love my new car!! More

Buying a car isn't like it used to be. The age of the greased back hair, sleazy, looking to make a quick buck off commissions is over. At least at Whaling City Mazda it is. From literally the second I parked my sweet soccer mom mini van to hitting that gong, I have nothing but a 10 out of 5 star rating especially for the salesperson that helped me Joe Lamonica. I arrived with my mother with the typical insecurities and concerns anyone does going to a new dealership where they're unsure, but his smile and charm immediately made us both warm up to him and he helped us through the whole process. He did phenomenal taking care of both of us, answering any and all questions, educating us both on the car, warranties and anything additional (such as the Glasscoat) and getting a very good rate. I will definitely be coming back for future vehicles and sending everyone I can to Joe to purchase a car from him. I unfortunately forgot her last name but Jamie also helped us immensely. Going over the numbers and transfer of titles, she even did my mother and I a huge favor by backtracking a little bit to add me as a cosigner for the car. Nothing but very high remarks from me and my mother! :) More
