My car wouldn’t start over the course of 4 days. I was finally able to get it started and called the dealership service department who told me to bring the car in for a diagnostic check. When we brought t finally able to get it started and called the dealership service department who told me to bring the car in for a diagnostic check. When we brought the cat in, the service department looked at the battery, starter, and alternator and said nothing was wrong the the car and wouldn’t run a diagnostic check on it because “nothing would be wrong with the car”. If I wanted a diagnostic check, it would cost me. I have a 2017 MDX under warranty, it would have been easy to just run the check because when my car wasn’t starting, Acura was going to tow it to the cities, all 200 miles there. The frustration stems from when I was instructed by someone when I made the appointment to bring the car in because of the days of trouble I had. I live 230 miles/4 hours away from the nearest Acura dealer. If I was told on the phone that nothing would’ve been done for my car, I would’ve saved myself the 8 hour round trip. Please have the service department on the same page about what services will or will not be provided before someone else makes an 8 hour, futile trip. More
Our purchasing process was fine. The man who helped us was fine, new, but fine. My concern was that their Covid precautions were sub-par. I'm not super paranoid about covid but I judge a business based on their precautions. I still bought the car because it was the right car. More
