Mailing from Subaru said to allow 3 hours for the job. Service rep when I got there said 2 hours or less. Job was done in less than an hour. Very pleased! More

Expensive oil change Received a letter from Acura indicating that my MDX may burn excessive oil and to bring to dealer to check. Dealer indicates that "excessive" is defin Received a letter from Acura indicating that my MDX may burn excessive oil and to bring to dealer to check. Dealer indicates that "excessive" is defined as 1 quart every 1000 miles. Since the car only holds 4.5 quarts and it is typically 7500+ miles before the oil minder instructs that the oil should be changed means that I should be able to run with no oil in the pan, eh? Ridiculous. If I add 1 quart every 1000 miles then I will have replaced all the oil between changes and then I'm paying $50 for the dealer to change the filter! More
