This was a pleasant environment and Alex more than met our expectations. Very helpful and informative. We had a small child with us who was kept very entertained in the children room while we got down to our expectations. Very helpful and informative. He told me exactly how the car deal was going to go from the starting price to the negotiation to the sale. He is also very professional and complimentary to all the people that work in the dealership. He also advised me to negotiate on the lesser car (Fit) instead of the Fit Sport which I'm sure compromised his commission somewhat He was genuinely interested in me getting the right car. Keith is the kind of guy that everyone likes and that is what makes him successful. I would buy cars from Keith Johnson in the future but it saddens me to think that it may never happen because Keith is 57 and Hondas last 20 years and I don't want him to be selling cars at 77. Keith Johnson is one-of-a-kind - a guy who can sell cars without sounding and acting like a "car salesman" More
Finally someone has figured out how to sell cars! I am from Louisville, Ky and found a pre-owned Honda Ridgeline that I wanted on the internet through Yahoo Cars. The dealership happened to be in White Pl from Louisville, Ky and found a pre-owned Honda Ridgeline that I wanted on the internet through Yahoo Cars. The dealership happened to be in White Plains, NY (about 800 miles away) so I thought it was probably not going to be feasible to go there to get it and kept looking... I could not help myself from coming back time and again because the vehicle was priced better, had less mileage, was Honda certified and from the pictures looked to be in perfect shape compared to the vehicles in my immediate area. On a whim, I thought I would give them a call and at least talk to them about it. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE. My salesman, Majid Zeeshan, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made me very comfortable in just a few short minutes on the phone. He, like everyone else at White Plains Honda was looking to build a long-term customer - not just sell a vehicle. We talked for several minutes and he gave me all the details on the vehicle and I put in an offer (one that I thought would be rejected), after a few minutes I got a call back and too my surprise - my offer was accepted. This immediately set off alarm bells, but after talking with Zeeshan and hearing him explain the philosphy of customers first that is the defining element on which their dealership is based, I once again felt very comfortable with my decision. I got off the phone booked a one way ticket to New York and once I had the date and times called Zeeshan back to get information on the best way to get from the airport to their dealership. Zeeshan said "Don't worry about it. I'll pick you up on my way to work so you won't have to spend time and money on transportation." Three days later I arrived in New York Laguardia and fifteen minutes after that - Zeeshan was there to get me. We got to the dealership after about a 35 minute drive and I immediately asked to see my vehicle - everything was better than I had imagined. Zeeshan had decribed the vehicle to a tee including every little scratch, the smell of the interior (my allergies would have been sorely tested if this had been a smoking vehicle)to the cleanliness of the underbody of the vehicle. I was extremely pleased and even happier after he tossed me the keys and told me to make myself at home. I spent the next hour going over the vehicle trying to find something that would justify my original skepticism, but found nothing I could even mildly complain about and all the while, I was constantly stopping to meet someone else from the dealership that had found that I came all the way from Kentucky to buy a vehicle and they just wanted to thank me for showing that kind of trust in their dealership. EVERYONE at White Plains Honda impressed me as sincere and genuine and like the dealership and vehicles on the lot was classy, neat, organized, and hard working. I am an IT consultant and have worked with several auto dealerships in the past and present, so I am very aware of the inner workings and how the backside is normally run - these guys have stepped away from the norm and their approach is a winner in my book! I will recommend them to my friends and family and the next vehicle I buy - I will definitely look to White Plains Honda before I look anywhere else. It is the first vehicle I have purchased (probably about 30 new and used over the years) where I felt like I got the best deal I could get and was still happy about it a week later! Thank you White Plains and special thanks to Zeeshan. More
my mom, my grandmother, and i came in to test drive a new honda accord coupe. i wasn't planning on buying a car that day, but as soon as i got in the car i knew i wanted it. alex took me on my test drive and honda accord coupe. i wasn't planning on buying a car that day, but as soon as i got in the car i knew i wanted it. alex took me on my test drive and told me things i didnt know about the car. when i decided i wanted it, my mom and my grandmother gave alex a hard time. they are extremely difficult to deal with but alex kept his cool the whole time and really took care of us. great price. i felt bad for him when i left. kurt was the first person we saw when we pulled into the dealership. he greeted us very warmly and also helped us deal with the paper work. brandy showed me how to work everything on my car. she was very nice and too kept her cool when my family was being annoying. overall, amazing customer service. The friendliness and hospitality of the service personnel was exquisite. The service station is quite a ways from my home but for the sake of the service, it is certainly worth the drive. Although if Honda was exquisite. The service station is quite a ways from my home but for the sake of the service, it is certainly worth the drive. Although if Honda lives up to their status-quo I am sure that I will be treated equally at any of their service stations. More
Let me say first that Charlie Khalil was the only positive part of my visit to this dealer on 4/2. He was honest and helpful. That was the only good think I can say about this dealer. DO NOT BEL positive part of my visit to this dealer on 4/2. He was honest and helpful. That was the only good think I can say about this dealer. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY OVER THE PHONE. If you need to travel to see this dealer, anything they tell you over the phone is to mislead you to come in their dealership. Their sales manager admitted this to me. This all started with Roselen over the phone. I was shopping around for a new car. I have done all my research and gotten quotes from other dealers. I call White Plains Honda calls me after requesting a quote online. 3x Roselen and her manager promised me that they can beat every quote and get me to the price point that I am comfortable with, discount the accessories that I want, and GUARANTEED to offer me more for my trade-in. With that, and as a sign of good faith, I visited them with my brother-in-law (from White Plains). After outlining my price-points to Charlie, he was surprised with my numbers and wondered why I was promised better numbers. He still tried to make it happen for me...but the next set of occurrences was out of his control. Charlie came back from speaker to a manager and said they were very far from what they promised me. Then a "so called" sales manager came by and gave me a number that WAS THE HIGHEST AMONG ALL THE DEALERS I HAVE NEGOTIATED WITH! At that point, my brother-in-law was very upset as I had to travel to White Plains for nothing and that THIS DEALER WASTED MY TIME AND MISLED ME! I questioned their integrity and they got defensive...then admitted that Roselen's job was to JUST TO GET CUSTOMERS IN THEIR DOORS! This is when I shook their hands and walked out. My friends, this dealer is dishonest and will con you whenever they can. If you need to shop at this place, MY ADVICE IS DO YOUR RESEARCH AND BELIEVE IN IT! Deal with Charlie and be weary of ANY MANAGER! If they question your research and tell you you're wrong, WALK OUT! I wanted to buy a car from these guys, but they simply lied to me. That is not how I do business. Unfortunately, this is how White Plains Honda operates...THEY ADMITTED IT TOO. More
My wife and I went to White Plains Honda investigating the potential purchase of a used CR-V, Stephen met us and walked us to the used car lot and we foud out that the car in question hade been sold. In a the potential purchase of a used CR-V, Stephen met us and walked us to the used car lot and we foud out that the car in question hade been sold. In a very professional no pressure attitude Stephen walked us thru a leasing process and a purchase process that best fit our budget. Before leaving we met with Stephen's manager, who was also very kind and professional and even offered a better deal. When my wife and I declined, their only concern was that we had a positive experince at White Plains Honda. I would most definitely go back to White Plains Honda. More
We have been leasing and/or buying Honda's from White Plains Honda since 1997. Our experience back then...from actually leasing and buying out the car....to maintenance...notifications of recalls...and o Plains Honda since 1997. Our experience back then...from actually leasing and buying out the car....to maintenance...notifications of recalls...and on time customer service in the shop...the entire team has always treated us well. We recently needed to lease a new car because our 2003 Honda Civic was totaled in a very bad accident. Donna Lozinsky took care of us, walked us through the experience and had us in our 2011 Honda Civic LX-S in under 20 hours. The explanations of the features were great, dealing with the finance manager was a joy, and we were treated just as well as if we were buying 10 $40,000 models instead of leasing one car. The saddest part of the whole thing was after I kissed Donna on the cheek, she said she realized it would be a while before we would need to come back to the showroom for another reason. I wish other retailers that sell consumable items rather than durable items understood that this is a huge component to all of the sales cycle. If someone asked me where to get a car, White Plains Honda would be my choice for sure. On top of that, I would send them straight to Donna because she is a seasoned professional and made it a joy. If there was a way to incentivize the salespeople on how much future business they got from referrals and also offer a coupon perhaps to the referee for a simple premium product logo'd item...it would go very far to secure brand awareness and customer loyalty to the salesperson. If you would like to understand more about what I am talking about, please do not hesitate to call me at 914 263 2781 any time. With best regards, Michael Herman More
From the arrogant salesman to the dirty cars, we questioned the integrity of this dealership withing the first five minutes of being there. We should have walked away at that time but stuck it out questioned the integrity of this dealership withing the first five minutes of being there. We should have walked away at that time but stuck it out to give them the benefit of the doubt. I hope that my unfortunate experience will prevent others from having to endure the same disrespect by avoiding this dealership completely. After opening the doors to two CPO Pilots that looked like a few five year olds had played in for a few days, leaving rocks the size of golf xxxxx, soda spills and dirt stains from the door to the floor (and not to mention what looked like bird crap on the INSIDE of one of the doors), we finally saw a decent Pilot (with only blood or soda on the ceiling – not sure which it was). After test driving the Pilot, we waited approximately an hour and a half for the CPO Accord, which would be the second car that we were looking to purchase. When the car arrived from being certified and detailed, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness. With the recent flooding in the area we had a slight concern of a car having flood damage and requested to see the Carfax (which we never saw). After taking this car for a test drive, with a plastic bag on the seat because it was still wet from what we hoped was shampoo, we proceeded inside to “talk numbers.” (I can't believe we still hadn't walked away and it only got worse when we went inside) The sales manager brought over a paper with prices for each car as well as a decent trade-in value for our car (which was cleaner than any car we looked at). From the beginning we stressed that our monthly payment was what we needed to know in order to make any decision. The paper of course had no monthly payment. It must have struck a nerve when we asked for only an estimate of a monthly payment because this is when the salesman “snapped,” shaking his head, raising his voice and talking over me as I tried talking to my husband. They refused to give a monthly payment without a credit application which would show the finance rate. We were only asking for an estimate. At this time, we stood up to walk out and the salesman (in his raised tone of voice) said it's simple math to figure out the monthly payment and began banging on his calculator. If it is simple math, what struck a nerve when we asked politely for an estimate of the monthly payment? Walking out, my husband refrained from throwing his coffee onto one of the cars, even though no one would have noticed a little extra dirtiness. After my family has owned 7 Hondas, I have never once left a dealership in tears because of the absolute disrespect that we were shown. It it surprising that these people are able to represent such a great company. More
This is the second vehicle we have purchased at White Plains Honda. This dealership gets a 5-star rating across the board. From the time that we walked into White Plains Honda and were greeted by the r Plains Honda. This dealership gets a 5-star rating across the board. From the time that we walked into White Plains Honda and were greeted by the receptionist to the time we were handed the keys to our new CR-V, we did not have one complaint. Our salesman, Steve, was very knowledgeable and we were not pressured in the least. We were happy with the price after one negotiation. When it came time to pick up the vehicle, the meeting with the finance manager was hassle-free... again, a no-pressure situation. We were given a thorough understanding of all the features and the car looked perfect. We are extremely happy with this purchase and would buy another vehicle there any time. More
