I went to every dealership in Charlottesville until I saw an ad for Whitten Brothers on CarGu My sister and I started my car buying process weeks ago. I went to every dealership in Charlottesville until I saw an ad for Whitten Brothers on CarGurus. We went in one evening, close to closing(my drive there is about 1.5 hours and I had to go after work). The person who greeted us introduced us to Ricardo. He stayed for hours letting us test drive vehicles and get a feel for the facility. In all of the places I ventured, Ricardo had the most personality! He didn't force sales, constantly talk business, or try top get me into a higher priced vehicle. I was indecisive and I'm sure a little annoying! We returned on a day that we would have more time to really take in the experience and find the right fit. I left empty handed again! Still with no pressure from Ricardo. At this point, he felt like a part of our circle and nothing like a salesman. Fortunately for him, this made me committed to buying from him. Having a younger guy work with us really lightened the mood and made the whole terrifying experience a little more bearable. Everyone had friendly faces, but Ricardo had us laughing while everyone else looking at cars seemed solemn and serious. Last night, I noticed the car I wanted on their website. I texted Ricardo at 0100 and told him to hold it for me. This evening I drove it home!! He was so patient with me and honest from the first moment. Truth be told, my sister and I named my car after him! 😅😁 More
Personable salesman Donnie Jenkins had a load of patience for us. We kept him late two nights (like 3 1/2 hours over) and he never got aggravated or rushed. Kevin is organized, honest and follow up is superior! They put what they owed us after the sale in writing as well as anything we may have owed them so there are no misunderstandings. I can’t say I was as happy with Bob who handled our finance paperwork. He was arrogant, impatient and not customer-focused. He had little interest in serving the customer. There was a mistake made in processing our loan and Bob told us it could not be fixed but Jeff helped us fix the issue easily. Overall we had a great experience working with Kevin but our experience with Bob was frustrating to say the least. More

Salesman was Awsome the Salesmanger not so good Our Salesman, Errol Raj did and excellent job showing us the vehicle and answering our questions. He is a very nice person to work with and had an excellent demeanor throughout the purchase process. Now the Sales Manager on the other hand, Jeff Boyer was confrontational and did not like the fact that a customer would stand up to him on his untruths about a vehicle purchase price. Not very professional Jeff! But the three things that have put me over the edge about this dealership is: 1) When we got our vehicle home we noticed that there was a dent on the front drivers area 2) There was absolutely no evidence of cleaning of the vehicle for prepping it for delivery as there was dirt throughout 3) Someone was allowed to drive OUR vehicle after we had purchased it. The dent appears to have been caused by someone taking the strap from the drivers side door off and allowing the door to swing forward denting the body with the plastic frame or coping around the mirror. There were black marks from the plastic coping from the drivers side mirror where it hit and dented the body of the vehicle. As my wife and I never touched the straps it had to have been caused by another customer or someone from the dealership, as this dent wasn't there when we looked it over, when we took it on a test drive, when we purchased it up until when we walked off the lot awaiting your prep team to clean, it. If the dent had been there we would never have bought the vehicle in the first place. Unfortunately before we left we didn't notice the damage as by this time we were tired and just wanted to get home as we had over a 2 hour drive to get there. So the damage to the front area on the drivers side wasn't noticed until today. Also there was obviously no dealer prep as the vehicle had not been cleaned at all, same water marks and dirt on the exterior paint, it hadn't been vacuumed as the same dirt was on the on the drivers side carpet, interior trim and compartments had dirt in and on them and there was even a fresh splash of dried mud on the front bumper that wasn't there when we left to go shopping. I guess we should have been a little more suspicious when we returned from shopping that something wasn't quite right. We returned to pick up our vehicle it took about ten minutes for Errol to find our keys, of which he frantically looked for but wasn't able to locate until a customer that he had taken out on a test drive or something like that walked into the dealership and handed over the keys to our vehicle. I say at this point OUR vehicle as we had purchased it and someone else had our keys and was most likely allowed to drive it!!. Seriously....totally unprofessional. I can't say enough how dissatisfied I am with your dealership, so for all of the reasons I've listed, other then Errol I wish I could take the one star away that I am forced to give, as you don't even rate that. More
