A Couple of Bad Apples Made for Terrible Experience I recently bought a used car from Whitten Bros. Midlothian and asked to leave my old car parked at the dealership, so I could drive the new one home. I recently bought a used car from Whitten Bros. Apparently, the spot I was told I could park it in by the salesman was inconvenient for the Service Center and when I returned a week later, the air had been let out of both of my back tires and the valves had been damaged, so that they could not be refilled. It was clear that my car had been vandalized. I pointed out to the salesman that mine was the only car in the lot without a ‘Whitten Brothers’ tag and he acknowledged that the damage had likely been done by a Service Center employee, admitting that it wasn’t the first time something like that had occurred. I was understandably furious. The salesman and Sales Manager did an admirable job of calming me down, promising to repair the damage, give me a loner vehicle and review security footage to see which of their employees was responsible. However, when the General Sales Manager, Richard Albert, got involved, he told me I couldn’t prove anything, so they weren’t going to fix the damage they had caused. I had to raise a huge fuss and point out that two members of his sales team had already acknowledged the vandalism was done by a Whitten Brothers employee before he agreed to do the bare minimum to rectify the situation. What a horrible way to treat someone who just bought a car from you. As long as Whitten Brothers is employing vandals in their Service Center and has an unprofessional and incompetent General Sales Manager, I would advise you to take your business elsewhere. More
2018 Jeep Cherokee Lattitude - Altitude Package I came into Whitten Brothers to purchase a Jeep Cherokee as my new company vehicle. Time was of the essence as I needed to be in a new vehicle (and ou I came into Whitten Brothers to purchase a Jeep Cherokee as my new company vehicle. Time was of the essence as I needed to be in a new vehicle (and out of the only one) before the weekend. I had already been to another dealership that let me walk away. He was able to have truck sealed and spray a bed liner in before I came back on Friday to purchase truck, pleased with experience and will be coming back in few years when I trade in for newer model. Whitten Brothers met my very high expectations! My experience with Witten Brothers may be a little different than some. I came to the dealership knowing that I wanted to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee. My experience with Witten Brothers may be a little different than some. I came to the dealership knowing that I wanted to buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I asked what the top of the line was (summit) and selected the extras that I wanted. There was no sales hassle in part because I was already sold. With that said I was very comfortable and pleased with my experience at Whitten Brothers. Matt Parrish was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my numerous questions, and if he didn’t know the answer he said so, and went to get me the answer. Matt did a good job familiarizing me with my new Jeep and made it clear that he was there to help me with any expected future questions. The financing part of this process also went smoothly. The new electronic (vs. paper) process while new to me, turned out to be very efficient. I ended up purchasing all the protection and warranty package, but I didn’t feel pressured to do so, rather the presentation on why they were a good value in protecting my $57,000 plus purchase was logical and made good common sense. The bottom line is that I am please with Whitten so far, and met my very high expectation. If the Service I receive going forward is as good as what I have received so far then you should have a happy repeat customer. More
