Screwed Over So Friday 8/3/18 I traded my 2006 Acura MDX with 251k on it for a 2013 Chevy Traverse with 72k on it and fully loaded. I got financed through US Commu So Friday 8/3/18 I traded my 2006 Acura MDX with 251k on it for a 2013 Chevy Traverse with 72k on it and fully loaded. I got financed through US Community Credit Union and they needed 500 down but got it waved so it was just a trade in. The vehicle was financed at 29.5K with 11% interest and payments at 562.54 and total payoff balance 40.5K. Yes it’s high but reasonable. That afternoon contract was signed and confirmed and I drove off in my New Vehicle. Tuesday 8/7/18 (4 days after the contract was signed) get a phone call from Wholesale saying that I needed to come up and sign some papers. I said okay. Wednesday 8/8/18 (5 days later) I go up to Wholesale to sign more papers but in turn they are redrawing up a new contract and telling me that US Community Credit Union (the old contract) did not have the money to finance, but yet they do. Don’t make sense to me. I thought you have 3 days to back out on a contract from either parties and once the 3 days is up it’s a done deal. I asked where was my other vehicle (the trade in) and they couldn’t tell me where it was at. Well in turns I get refinance through Santander Auto Finance at 24K with high interest of 22.5%, payments of 611.05 and payoff of 44K and now with a $700 down payment. I feel like I am being ripped off and I’m not a very happy customer. Will not be back to them or advise anyone else too. More
