Problem I had was inquiring about a back Sliding window switch . The document stated that the part number was correct but the diagram stated that the location of the part was in the wrong place ! I brought my 2016 Cherokee in for the reg oil change and multi- point inspection on Sept 29, 2019. When I left the dealership driving west on Central Ave, the hood flew up as I got to the overpass. Clearly it had not been latched properly when they finished the service. I mention this now because I did not get an email survey after that visit. Regarding my recent service for oil change and inspection on August 14, 2020, the "Service Transmission" message came on the day before while I was driving on the expressway. When I got off and stopped at the light, initially the car just revved up when I accelerated , like it had shifted into neutral. Also the check engine light came on. I reported both of these issues on the 14th and was told you couldn't service the problem for 2 weeks. Was also told the car was safe to drive. Not true! I had the same issue with 2014 Cherokee - the transmission shifted into neutral when I was driving 70 miles an hour on the expressway and decelerated rapidly. So no, I don't consider it safe to drive the 2016 Cherokee not knowing if this will happen again. More
