After searching for quite a while to determine what type of car I wanted I narrowed it down to a 2011 Nissan Sentra 2.0 SL and I determined that the only 3 in my area were at Frederick Nissan. I called the dealership and spoke with a man named James (who I later found out is the sales manager) and he assisted me with getting financing pre-approval and scheduled a salesman to be available later that afternoon when I intended to visit. Upon arriving to the dealership that afternoon I was immediately impressed by the condition of their facility (pristine does not describe how well it was polished) and was greeted by a gentlemen who immediately got Martin to take care of me. I feel I should add that it was pouring down rain during this entire experience but that did not discourage Martin from trying to do his job. He had already pulled one of the Sentra's up to the building to keep us from getting as wet and throughout the test drive he was phenomenal. For having only been there a few months he really knew his stuff. I decided that I liked the vehicle and we went back to the dealership to discuss financing. Throughout the entire discussion Martin and James were very receptive and ultimately provided a deal that I honestly don't think I would have been offered anywhere else as they actually "upgraded" the vehicle to one with more features and kept the price the same. All in all, they have provided excellent post-sale care and their business manager was very helpful as well when it came to dotting the "i's" and crossing the t's." Not only would I recommend this dealership to others but I already have to a few co-workers who are in the same situation as I was. Excellent dealership worthy of 3 thumbs up! More
I had been shopping for awhile for a used car, either a Honda or a Nissan (Xterra). I met Jeff and he showed me his used vehicles. He listed to what I needed and was very, very nice. He let me test drive and take my time thinking about the purchase. He was knowledgeable and took his time explaining everything that I needed to know about the car. I purchased my Xterra and love the vehicle. I will need to go back and get another car sometime soon, and my first stop will be to see Jeff. I really liked him as a saleperson, and I like Nissan, because of him. Only negative, I wish you posted your prices on the cars. It helps be narrow down what I want. I do not find car shopping a pleasant experience, but Jeff Lasko made it as painless as it can be. Basically that is how it went here in Frederick. I came to Frederick after my "negotiations" at another dealership left me very unhappy. I went online and saw that Frederick's prices were more where I wanted to be. Jeff called after I emailed interest in a few cars. I told Jeff upfront that I didn't want to play those games - what my situation was, what we were looking for, and our bottom line. He made it happen and although it was a long day, (I was there about 7 hours) we drove away with two new Sentras after trading in a 2009 Toyota. The dealership is open, airy, clean and very professional-looking, unlike the dealership in Owings Mills. My only suggestion? Add a snack machine. I was there a long time and a little munchie would have been nice. Sorry I guess the salesmen wouldn't like that temptation but I bet it would do good business. More
When I bought my Nissan last year I purchased a service plan that gives me every other oil change free with car wash included. I regret that decision. Negatives: - Every time I go in to get the oil ch plan that gives me every other oil change free with car wash included. I regret that decision. Negatives: - Every time I go in to get the oil changed, it takes way too long. A couple days ago it took over 2 hrs. I may just take my car to Jiffy Lube in the future even though I'm not close to using all my free ones at Nissan because I'd rather pay the $35 then spend 2 hrs at the Nissan dealership. - Every time I have to explicitly request the free car wash that is supposed to be automatic. There always seems to be hemming and hawing about "seeing if they can fit me in" or "there's a long backup" or "that's going to take awhile". Don't sell this as part of the service purchased if this is going to be what you offer!!! - The "upgrade packages" that are pushed every time I bring my car in for an oil change are ridiculous. $250 to check tire pressure (among a few other unnecessary services), come on! - Beyond the upgrade packages pushed, there is always a litany of other things pushed like unnecessary replacement of the air filter, wind shield, etc... The people at the dealership were very nice and helped me out right away. As a young girl, I got ignored at other dealerships, so to be helped right away was very nice and made the experience much more enjo out right away. I definitely would NOT say this is a 5-star dealership. That wouldn't do it any justice. It has to be at LEAST 7-8 stars. From the moment I spoke with Jeff on the phone, to the moment I drove my new vehicle home- this experience was definitely the BEST experience I've had buying a car. I made arrangements to come and speak with Jeff about a new car on 3/26, a Saturday afternoon (of course, the busiest time for car sales during the week) and although he pretty much had a full plate already, he was more than accommodating. As soon as I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist, I was offered a drink and a seat, and Jeff LITERALLY ran out to meet me. He juggled me between the several other customers he had that day, and although I had to wait a little while (which was my fault for coming in so late and with little forewarning), the service from Jeff and everyone at that dealership MORE than made up for it. I had started my car search looking for a USED 2010 Altima that past Monday, and after going through the typical disappointing melee with 4 other dealerships, I took the recommendation of a family member who had bought a car from Jeff just a month earlier, promised, as soon I met Jeff, I KNEW I was buying a car that day. He & James (a sales manager) worked with me AND my trade-in (which had negative equity up the ying-yang), to get me in a car I loved and my payments where I wanted. In the meantime, Jeff ran around endlessly for me trying to make sure I got the options, color, and everything else I wanted. He even took the time to show my mother the car when she stopped in to have a look. I was BEYOND impressed. I finally made it into the office to sign papers with Dave and he was a dear as well and he made the whole experience simple and fluid. Before I left for the day, Jeff helped me transport some of the junk from my old car to my new one, and even sat down and explained every single option in my new car that I may have been unfamiliar with. I cannot say enough good things about this dealership and those who work there and assisted me. Saturday was the first time, I did not leave a dealership feeling like I was "swindled." I was so comfortable that I even purchased the protection package for my car. And usually- I feel like the salesman is already hammering me enough that I don't purchase anything extra, but in this case, I was more than comfortable in the integrity of the people who assisted me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new car and I KNOW I'll be more than happy with it. I will definitely recommend Frederick Nissan, Jeff, James & Dave to anybody who even THINKS about buying a new car! They are well worth the praise! And should I buy another Nissan, I already know where my one stop will be. :-) More
