Got to the root of the problem Had been talking the Terrain to another mechanic, who had done a lot of work, but still, the check engine light came on intermittently and the engine Had been talking the Terrain to another mechanic, who had done a lot of work, but still, the check engine light came on intermittently and the engine ran rough. The other mechanic finally threw up his hands and sent me to the dealer thinking that the problem was in the computer. Zimbrick got right to the root of the problem: the Terrain was 3 quarts low on oil, causing a cascade of sensor errors; thus, the rough engine performance. Probably saved me thousands of dollars. More
