Did not honor a confirmed internet price - RobertF
I wanted to purchase a 2020 Toyota Corolla VIN# 5YFHPRAE8LP052984 from Price Toyota in New Castle Delaware, stock number K052984. The price advertised on the internet was $14,530.00 On July 20, 2020 at 12:17 PM I called and spoke to Samantha who confirmed that the car was still available; that the price was correct at $14,530 (she confirmed it with Tom Bonner); and that I had an appointment for 12:45-1:00 the same day. I went to the dealership and asked to test drive the car and was given keys to do so after they made a copy of my drivers license. When I got back, I gave them a Mastercard to put $4,000 down and come back between 5:00 and 6:00 PM to pay the balance and take delivery.
Trevour Shoun got involved and said they could not honor the price. Another gentleman got involved and he too said they would not honor the price of $14,530. They moved it up to over $18,000.
I consider this to be false advertising and misrepresentation.
My very first need for Service on my new Toyota Camry... - melissa62
My very first need for Service on my new Toyota Camry arrived today when I managed to get a flat tire and was delighted with the Excellent Experience at Newark Toyota World. I was promptly greeted when I arrived and by Frank Delguerio and shown the fantastic waiting area with the large television to enjoy with fantastic variety of snacks and beverages that on a hot summer day was great. It was a seamless visit that I will ensure my future service needs will be coming back for sure to this location. Thank you so much !
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! It is a Get rich quick scheme off of... - Bill N.
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! It is a Get rich quick scheme off of consumers. It is absolutely NOT a reputable place of business as it lacks INTEGRITY and RESPECT. Tried to SCAM me out of my car so they could keep it by lying and giving me a false diagnosis about battery and a whole host of other lies along with trumped up charges for over $2,000. I pulled my car out of there and still had to pay an over priced diagnostic! SCAM! Took my car to a great place who made my car right and put me back on the road.
Decent service but prices are outrageously high - katekebo
I moved to Delaware from Ohio about a year ago. I had my two Toyotas serviced three times at C.F. Schwartz in Dover, DE. The quality of the service was OK, with reasonable waiting time. But the prices are outrageously high, running at least 2x higher than my previous dealer in Cincinnati, OH. Some examples:
- oil & filter change: $80 at C.F. Schwatrz, $35 at Performance Toyota in Fairfield, OH
- brake service (new pads, resurface rotors): $600 at C.F. Schwartz, $200 at Performance Toyota
Basically every other service I asked about is 2x or more compared to my previous dealer.
I guess C.F. Schwartz gets away with this being the only Toyota dealer in Dover, so customers don't have much chance to compare prices and select a more competitive dealer.
Happy - Dave and kelly
Worked with Bob and he made the process enjoyable smooth. I bought a used Toyota and am very happy. I will buy there again and recommend them.
