Had a pleasant experience leasing my first vehicle here, so naturally I came back to purchase a vehicle post-lease. After spending hours at the dealership, feeling exhausted, they found a car more comfortably within my budget, an ‘08 Civic. All was well for about a year; Honda’s are known for their reliability, Civics especially, with room to tune and generally economical parts. Alas, my engine block cracked, leaked coolant, burnt all the oil off, and left my stock *plastic* dipstick charred and decimated. Surprised, I searched the internet to see if this was a common issue, and yes it was. All ‘06-‘08 along with some ‘09 Civics were issued TSB 10-048, wherein Honda would replace the engine, free of charge, and extended the standard warranty up to 10 years. Why this wasn’t done to this vehicle, I don’t know. However, here it was at a Honda dealership, hastily brought to me at the end of the business day. Had I known about this particular TSB, I likely wouldn’t have purchased this vehicle, and at the very least I would’ve bought the dealer’s assuredly absurd extended warranty. After more than a month of deliberation, they couldn’t do anything for me.
Bottom line: don’t let this dealership leave you blindsided. Don’t think they have your best interest at hand.

A great place to buy a car, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. My wife and I were interested in several preowned SUVs. Jim Fournier helped us compare the mileage, savings, safety ratings etc to find the right model. Ultimately he found the model we were looking at, and then got us a better deal with the same make, but one year earlier and with a lower mileage. He's definitely someone who cares about what his customers are paying for, and he saved us about $4,000. We love our CRV, and we highly recommend this dealership.

Darlings Honda of Bangor ME will always match if not beat their pricing on vehicles. Service department that is not customer service oriented. Looking to get money from single woman who they think don't know any better. Are un-informative and refuse to ask or listen to ways to better their service or processes. General manager Todd Embelton in fact hung up on me after cutting me off in conversation and not even asking me my reason for speaking with him. He's lost a customer for good.
