My husband and I had scheduled to test drive a car at this dealership but when we went, we were highly disappointed. Why? You can't test drive a car that has TWO flat tires!! We didn't just 'show up', we were sent an email (by Aladdin) asking to confirm that we were going to show up to test drive the car. I wouldn't have been as upset if we didn't drive all the way from Long Island to Brooklyn. When we asked Abe, the salesman who was "helping" us, why did we confirm on test driving a car when it's not available to be test driven, his response was "how do you expect to drive a car with two flat tires?'. REALLY?!? We told him that we had an appointment and if there was anyone who could put some air in the tires, he told us that 'no one works on Saturday, you will have to come back'.
I should have realized that this dealership wasn't professional when the receptionist was sitting on the desk on her cell phone. I'll definitely be taking my business else where.

Abe Ibrahim, my sales consultant at Bay Ridge Lexus, was very professional, polite and helpful in my pre-owned Lexus car purchase. Since I live in other state, he helped me to check out the car I inquired, provided all the details, had a technician check the car, and even gave me a very good deal over the phone. That allowed me to make the purchase decision before seeing the car in person.
When I arrived at the dealership, Abe provided excellent service to help me through the process and went the extra miles to prepare the car very well for delivery. When I had a minor problem to register my car and called Abe two weeks later, he responded quickly to help me to resolve the issue. "NEW STANDARDS AT BAY RIDGE FOR L/CERTIFIED CARS"

Bay Ridge Lexus has their own set of standards to L/certify a car which falls far below the Lexus Corporation specifications. Dents and scratches, even affecting paint, are perfectly acceptable to Bay Ridge. The salesperson, Abe, reminded me several times that it was a used car and their inspection does not include the vehicle’s exterior. He claims to work at the dealership for 2 years. Is he being fallacious or has he not had the chance to read the L/Certified checklist, yet. After leaving in disgust, I called the GM, Eugene, the next day and he had the 3 inch circular dent in the hood removed. However, he claimed he has no money in the car to repair the paint on the hood or bumper. Really? Then why is this car certified? Dealers like this damage the reputation of Lexus. Lexus Corporation needs to take a more active role in monitoring their dealers or their lax attitude will eventually catch up to them. Such that the L/certification program becomes meaningless.
