Born in Peoria IL and relocated to Cedar Rapids in 97’ with my wife Myrna, we started our family. Jasmine is now 24 and Jacob is 16 so you can imagine never a dull moment at our house. For pets, I have 2 aquatic turtles that beg for food whenever I am near the 55 gal tank that is stocked with several oversized Goldfish that now resemble Koi. My other pastime pleasure is cooking and thanks to my very thoughtful wife Myrna who bought me a smoker, I have acquired a love for smoked meats adding a layer to my waist line if you know what I mean. I have always been focused on taking care of customers and the last 19+ years I have spent in the car industry working on this 1 customer at a time. I take pride in having the privilege of running our internet team and being able to change the perception of how easy and hassle free a car buying experience can really be. A big THANK YOU to all my past customers and look forward to assisting all the future ones.

Is this heaven....no its Cedar Rapids Toyota Alan, Bethany and Curt were great to work with. It was one of the best car buying experiences my wife and I have had. Painless Transaction and Overall Great Experience Although I am not one who typically writes reviews, I felt compelled to share my recent experience at Cedar Rapids Toyota. As you can see from my overall rating, I had an outstanding experience purchasing a new Toyota 4Runner and rated them at 5 stars. From the initial contact via text messaging to the final handshake, Alan Makabi was nothing less than genuine, honest, and professional. As he continued to determine our needs and desires- he found the absolute perfect vehicle for us! With his 12 years experience at this dealership alone, Alan proved to be more knowledgeable than what we had experienced at other car dealerships. His demeanor is quite relaxed and we felt no pressure from him throughout the entire process, After doing our homework and shopping around we knew the deal that we absolutely needed to make the sale happen. I never had to take Alan to mat to get the deal I needed, I simply can't ask for anymore than that. Alan not only took the time to make sure we understood all the electronics and other options the vehicle was equipped with before we left, but sincerely invited us back at any time for a review. I would also like to give a shout out to Mike who worked effortlessly to ensure we were able to get the best deal possible. This is the second vehicle purchased from Alan and Cedar Rapids Toyota, I can honestly say that it likely won't be the last. Worth the trip!!!!! Many years ago we met Alan Makabi while searching online for a new car. He seemed to be Honest and straight forward, a real bottom line type guy. We liked what we heard from him so we drove from mid Indiana to Cedar Rapids Iowa, purchased a new Avalon and then drove home. Years passed and we continued to drive to Iowa to buy our cars from Alan. Now we reside in south Florida which is 1400 miles from Cedar Rapids, and we still deal with Alan. Alan along with Wendy Nelson ( a paper work whiz ) make it a worthwhile trip. William McGuire More
