Do not use their service department. The sale of my Maverick was amazing. James was wonderful and my truck has been great since 2022. However, I have taken my truck three times to the service department for minor recalls and mileage checks and each time has been a nightmare. This most recent time, I was originally going to use their drop off and pick up service. But decided I would drop it off myself instead. I called them and changed the appointment. I also cancelled it through the text. They called me the day of and said service providers were on their way. I told them that I had changed the appointment. I dropped my truck off on a Wednesday with Nicole. She had no idea it was coming, so again seemed like there was a lack of communication in their scheduling department. She told me to just sign a piece of paper and sent me on my way. By Tuesday of the following week, I texted Nicole asking for an update. Her response was “they are working on it as we speak. I have been following up with the tech for a better eta on completion.” I responded with “Okay thank you! Did they figure out any of the sensor issues?” She responded with “i will have to go ask he hasn't said anything yet.” My Ford app showed that my car had yet to be started or moved since I had dropped it off previous Wednesday. By the next day at 4pm, I still had received no update from her and my car had yet to be started. I called the service department multiple times and only received their voicemail. I finally called the main line and asked for the Service Manager number, Jim. He apologize and promised to go talk to Nicole and have her call me asap. The previous times I worked with Allen. The first time was for the 50k mileage check. I told them I did not need an oil change but did need them to check my breaks. They completed an oil change and charged me $110 and did not check the breaks. The second time, I was having them check the breaks and coolant. My car was said to be returned that evening. They did not communicate the entire day and by 6pm they were closed and I did not have my car. The next morning they returned my car without checking the coolant. Their system is extremely flawed with scheduling and receiving updates and they have yet to complete a service in it’s entirety or without frustration. More

Hats off to Jim Moody and his team, and special thanks to my service advisor Allen Oltmann who not only gets my appointments scheduled in a timely manner but also contacts me with all pertinent information about necessary work, time frame involved and estimated costs as soon as it’s available. He keeps me informed throughout, eliminating any surprises. Thanks Allen, for everything! More

I regret that I have to report a terrible experience with the Palmetto Service department. my wife has a 2013 C-Max purchased from Palmetto. It has developed a warning light for the brake system and the liftgate has ceased to function. After a $500 bill for "diagnostics" I was told that I have to pay for the parts before they would order them. I reluctantly agreed to that, but now after 3 weeks of almost daily calling to Allen Oltmann, I have yet to receive a return call with the name of who I need to pay. The service department in general is chaotic and not welcoming. I wonder if the dealer is financially unsound that they don't stock parts and require payment before ordering--does Ford not extend them credit? this is an expensive repair and I am considering replacing my C-Max with a new Escape, but that looks unlikely as a purchase from Palmetto. Kelvin initially sold me my Ford F250 last year and he was excellent to work with. I have only driven Fords for 35 years. I have worked with this dealership for months to get my screen to stop showing reverse when I am driving forward or black out completely. They kept my car for weeks, charged me $250 even though I have warranties, recall notices, and service plans which should cover it. My car is still not fixed. More

I have dealt with Palmetto Ford and Jim Moody for well over 20+ years. He gives me a pleasant greeting and a caring attitude each time I take my vehicles in to be serviced. If he says my vehicle will be over 20+ years. He gives me a pleasant greeting and a caring attitude each time I take my vehicles in to be serviced. If he says my vehicle will be ready at a certain time, you can take him for his word. He seems to enjoy his work and make sure his customers are satisfied. Jim Moody and Allen Oltmann both worked with me on the pricing of two new tires, an alignment, and Road Hazard service. Even though I couldn't produce a written quote from another tire company, they work pricing of two new tires, an alignment, and Road Hazard service. Even though I couldn't produce a written quote from another tire company, they worked hard to match/lower the total charges. Great Customer Service.
