I have been driving since the 1950s, purchased my first new vehicle in 1965 (Oldsmobile Cutlass with J-2 engine) and have worked with numerous sales and service personnel for over 60 years. Most of these dealerships were very good, some outstanding, and a few that I would categorize as best of the best in terms of quality of their vehicles; the sales experience; service personnel, facilities, and responsiveness; and last but not least, the value and fairness of the financial agreement. Daytona Toyota stands out as the absolute best of the best dealerships from which my wife and I have been fortunate enough to purchase a new car -- in this case a 2026 Camry hybrid. Our salesperson was Amanda Vegerano. After my first phone conversation with Amanda, I told my wife that if I was still working, I would somehow try to hire Amanda. Not only is Amanda the best salesperson I have ever met, but she is also extremely knowledgeable, a delight to work with and, most importantly, every co-worker of hers that we talked to could not say enough good things about her. She is absolutely admired and loved by those who know her the best! The knowledge, skills, and commitment of the Service Department deserve special recognition. Stephen, Aaron, Mike and others went the extra mile to make sure our new Camry was looking good and in perfect running condition when we departed for home. Nice 2009 Tacoma truck we bought. Dealer did not replace with same quality tires,(had all terrain now just has all weather) just new ones. Disappointing. Finance guy was annoying. We at first were going to finance some $$, but it seemed like a bother to him, so we paid cash. Maybe he was having a tough day. Dealer did do additional maintenance on truck. Which was probably wear and tear. Good deal overall!! Amanda was very helpful. We had truck delivered, nice thought on Amanda’s part. Then delivery guy must have been having a bad day…was a bit snotty on phone “do you want your truck today or not?” Was voicemail left b/c my night shift husband was sleeping and did not answer immediately. Since we shopped for a long time for an older, excellent, used Tacoma we can excuse some attitudes. Will shop Daytona Toyota again if an excellent older Tundra comes in. More
