Hi Dennis, Thank you, Dennis, for the prompt response. I left you a voice message on 03.22.2023. I reviewed the work order and saw we did not actively listen to you and adequately document your concern. We strive to provide a 5-star experience, and we failed. We performed a software update to the Idle Start/Stop system. But did not diagnose any concerns related to that system. The update addresses the vehicle not restarting: "Under certain circumstances, after coming to a stop and the idle stop feature engages, the car may not automatically restart. The customer can restart the vehicle immediately by selecting Park and pushing the ENGINE START/STOP button. Please call me when you are ready to schedule; I will have a complimentary rental available and many questions to understand better what you are experiencing and give our Honda-trained technician the best information to provide a solution. the requested service was to repair the idle stop on my new Ridgeline. along with regular service. The idle stop is still malfunctioning. Just this last week I received a memo from Honda that this is a common problem. I live on the coast and not easy to get the car in and get back here to work. I left it there the entire day and was hoping to get it fixed as it causes some annoying distractions, like error messages and surging at stops. Thanks for the quick response. I will have to talk with your advisor on how the initial estimate was presented at the time of check in. I do apologize if the initial diagnostic fee was miscommunicated. As far as the repair, the technician found impact to your radar. the impact was hard enough to knock the cover off of it. As mentioned on your invoice, the radar itself looked to be ok. The verification of this would have to be completed by a calibration. This is standard procedure and recommended by Honda Motors. I am glad to hear that the system is operating at this time. If you would like to fact, check the recommendation, feel free to contact me here at the dealership and I can direct you to the proper department for Honda Motors USA. Again, I do apologize for any miscommunication about the diagnosis. I also believe that I agreed with you at the time of check out and authorized Amy to internalize any charges for the diagnosis. If you feel the need to file a lawsuit for a no charge diagnosis with a no repair scenario, feel free. I believe your time is probably more valuable than attempting to gain something for nothing charged. I am also very confident that we would not have lasted 60 years as a Honda dealer by committing fraud or false repairs and recommendations. Hey thanks for the display of extreme intelligence and professionalism. Its rather overwhelming. As mentioned before, there is no possible way ANY technician can VERIFY the proper operation of the radar, Lane Departure system, cruise control, lane watch, ABS, and other systems without verifying the calibration of the radar. Again, I do apologize for the experience. I also apologize for having to inform you that after your last comments, you are no longer welcome at the dealership. I also encourage you to read documents properly before signing them. You did technically authorize the diagnostic charges. As a gesture of good faith, I didn't want one of our customers leaving with the feeling that they were swindled or mislead. I chose NOT to charge you. It has nothing to do with the money. We will be here with or without you.

It didn't need calibration as it's working fine. You were going to charge me $600 for absolutely nothing. You're a good talker but xxxxxxxx has a tendency to rise to the to the surface. Save your fraudulent activity for the single mom's that come in there. Not picking up what you're putting down.
