Just purchased my 2024 BMW 228 from Troy Mayer at Lexus of Wilmington DE. He has been great to deal with. No pressure but following up until we found the used car which met my needs. My experience with Andre Coleman was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had been in communication with Andre and his sales associate for about a week regarding a vehicle I was intereste disappointing and frustrating. I had been in communication with Andre and his sales associate for about a week regarding a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. After several discussions, we reached an agreement on the price. Since the dealership is approximately 500 miles from my home, we planned for me to fly to the nearest airport on 07/22/2026, where his sales associate would pick me up. On 07/20/2026, after we finalized the pricing and confirmed my travel plans, Andre asked me to send a copy of my driver's license and my flight itinerary. He also assured me that the vehicle would be held until my arrival on 07/22, even though their standard hold period is only 24 hours. I sent him the requested documents the same day. Unfortunately, the dealership sold the vehicle later that same evening on 07/20, despite their promise to hold it for me. Even more disappointing, no one informed me until the following day, after the sale had already been completed. As a result, I lost money on both my non-refundable airline ticket and hotel reservation. The way Andre and Lexus of Wilmington handled this transaction showed a complete lack of respect for my time, money, and trust as a customer. Making a commitment, asking a customer to book travel based on that commitment, and then selling the vehicle without any notice is highly unprofessional. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this dealership and would be very cautious about trusting their commitments. More
