We initially offered $65,000 for your Hummer based on the information available to us at the time. After reviewing the vehicle history more closely, we identified an “Accident/Damage” entry reported on the CARFAX. That information affected our valuation of the vehicle, so we revised our offer to $62,000. In addition to our $62,000 offer, we also offered free shipping/pickup of the vehicle, as we were trying to make the transaction as convenient as possible for you. We understand that you contacted other dealerships who may have interpreted the CARFAX differently. However, every dealership has its own appraisal process and risk assessment. An Accident/Damage entry can affect what a dealer is willing to pay for a vehicle, even when the vehicle does not have a branded title. We also acknowledge your feedback regarding communication. We could have done a better job keeping you updated throughout the process, and we take that criticism seriously. Our intention was never to mislead you or “lowball” you. We adjusted our offer because information in the vehicle history changed our assessment of the vehicle's value, while also offering free shipping/pickup to help facilitate the transaction.
