On Veteran’s day my father, who is a veteran suffering from advanced cancer, mentioned that his lease was coming due and he didn’t know how to handle it. Naturally he has concerns about any exposure to Covid and no longer has enthusiasm for negotiating a great deal on a car. William Mehrkens had reached out to me about my lease that is soon to be ending and the man is a true gentleman. I told my father I’d reach out to “my guy,” and see if we can work something out. Mr. Mehrkens and I went through the RVC inventory for GLC300s and discussed various options for tailoring a new lease, including emails during his day off. We set an appointment and William had everything ready and waiting. My father was singing papers within 30 minutes of walking in the door. The next day we picked up the car and the experience couldn’t be better. The gentlemen assisting us, had everything immaculate, distanced, and were thoroughly knowledgeable of their product. I walked into the sales department with my wife on January 11, 2020 and Bill made all the difference in the world wit salesperson, Mr. Bill Mehrkens. He was very professional, courteous, respectful and very subtle in his sales pitch. We were not rushed or feel pressured. We did not make a purchase on that day, we would not be ready until later during the year. To our surprise, Bill called me a week later to check in on us. This follow-up by telephone call, made all the different--that Bill would be our salesperson and we need not look anywhere else, other than MB-Rockville Centre. I made three purchases of MB vehicles at MB of Brooklyn and the service was not up to par anymore, in my opinion. Bill approach and professionalism made all the difference in the world for us to utilize Mercedes-Benz of Rockville Centre. Thank you very much Bill. My wife is very happy and surprised by her gift. My sales rep was Bill Mehrkens and he was exceptional! When I purchased my previous Mercedes in 2018 I remember I walked in to Rockville Center and the sales rep was rude so I walked out and purchased it When I purchased my previous Mercedes in 2018 I remember I walked in to Rockville Center and the sales rep was rude so I walked out and purchased it at the Manhattan Mercedes dealership. While this rep at Manhattan wasn’t rude I felt that after he sold me the car he didn’t care about any issues I had afterwards. This time around I wanted another Mercedes and only gave RVC a second chance because I was desperate and it was the closest one to my house. I was sent to Bill by mere coincidence but I’m so happy because he made my process comfortable and was extremely helpful. He wasn’t pushy and didn’t make me feel like I was just a “sale.” He went above and beyond with customer service. 1) he had patience when I was unsure which car I wanted. 2) I had various issues with the closing process but he was extremely helpful with that. 3) Then after I drove the car off the lot Bill was still only a text away and extremely helpful once again when the car had an issue by setting up my service appointment for me a week AFTER he had already sealed the deal. I have this idea of car salesmen being like sharks and just trying to hit numbers but he treated me like family. Though I didn’t have the best experience with the first rep, He is the main reason I will be returning to your dealership for future purchases! More
