Car shopping made easy I had been putting off shopping for a car for several months because, to me, that is sheer drudgery. However, recognizing that the chore could not be I had been putting off shopping for a car for several months because, to me, that is sheer drudgery. However, recognizing that the chore could not be put off any longer, my wife and I decided to spend Saturday morning and check out a few dealerships. We pretty much knew what we wanted -- a used Chrysler or Dodge mini-van within a particular mileage range as well as price range. Our second stop of the morning was at Savage 61 at the interchange of Routes 222 and 61 where we met Bob Care. When we told him what we were looking for, he told us he currently had nothing meeting those specifications on the lot but he took down our contact information and said he'd be in touch if something came in. After treating us to a delicious catered lunch in honor of the dealership's grand re-opening celebration -- and also winning four Reading Fighting Phil's' tickets to an upcoming home game -- we left and headed home. Later that very same day Bob contacted us via both e-mail and phone message and told us of a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan that had JUST arrived on the lot which he thought met our criteria and suggested we may want to check it out on Savage 61's website. We did so and were impressed by what we saw. We set up an appointment on Tuesday with Bob for a test drive and were even more impressed with the vehicle. The end result of this story is that we quickly came to an agreement with Bob and today are proud owners of a beautiful 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan meeting all our requirements. My comments would not be complete, however, without mentioning how extremely pleased my wife and I both were with the manner in which Bob Care took care of us. There was no high pressure or hard sell of any kind. Rather, Bob was genuinely interested in determining what we wanted and how he could best fill our needs. He was attentive to details, was very quick to follow up with us, and all along I had the definite feeling that Bob considered it his responsibility to help us find EXACTLY the car we wanted. I would recommend Savage 61 and particularly Bob Care to anyone looking for another vehicle, and I certainly intend to make Savage 61 my first stop the next time I'm in the market for another car. It was a very pleasurable shopping experience with a particularly satisfying result. A big thank you to all involved!! More
