I experienced a ridiculously uncaring sales staff at Luther Westside. This started after I, unfortunately, could not justify the cost of an engine rebuild on my 18-year-old VW. It was an extremely well Luther Westside. This started after I, unfortunately, could not justify the cost of an engine rebuild on my 18-year-old VW. It was an extremely well-maintained car that I owned for 8 years since I first learned to drive. All that to lay the foundation that I have continued to consistently be a loyal VW customer as long as I have been able to drive and before that my parents have been loyal VW customers for around 40 years. Luther Westside sales staff were quick to call me with excitement minutes after I scheduled an online appointment to test drive their vehicles but were careless about giving me a heads up that the primary vehicle I was interested in was sold hours before I arrived at the appointment. Without a car, the trip to test the vehicles is a costly one so it was more than disappointing that I received no notification about the fact that what I was looking for was no longer available. My appointed sales rep was very inattentive and proceeded to throw random car keys at me desperately trying to get me interested in what felt like literally anything to get me to buy from him when I was very clear about having very specific preferences. I was overwhelmed by the very hands-off and also somehow rushed approach that was being taken and decided to leave. Essentially $20,000 on a "new" used vehicle isn't an impulse buy and I felt like it was extremely disrespectful to treat it as one. After leaving, I decided to visit Luther Brookdale Volkswagen and immediately found a difference in the way I was treated. He was caring for what was, for me, an emotional and stressful situation of replacing a car that I would have preferred not to have to replace. The employee at Brookdale went above and beyond to try to help me find what I was looking for and gave me lots of time and space to think about the huge decision. When I returned to Luther Westside to sell my car to them, they were insensitive and rudely told me that they were “doing me a favor by giving me $100” for my car that was still running. I believe I was completely taken advantage of in this high-pressure situation. The service department had just charged me $153 for diagnosing the car as scrap… and now the buyer for the sales department thinks it's cute to tell me he’s doing me a favor that doesn’t even equate to waiving what I just paid them on the car. It was just more disrespect towards a long-time customer and in my opinion, a big reason I would never do business with Luther Westside’s Sales Team again. Not to mention the mask-wearing from staff indoors was a complete mess! More

The ONLY reason I purchased a vehicle from this dealership is because they had the one I had really wanted for a very long time. Other than that, the Sales manager Tom was condescending and rude at dealership is because they had the one I had really wanted for a very long time. Other than that, the Sales manager Tom was condescending and rude at best. The salesperson Bobby was good, friendly, but did not follow up for sure on $ agreed upon via messages back and forth. Beware, they raise the price from one hour to the next with no advanced warning and will not at any cost negoiate. Unless you really want the vehicle, dont go here. I paid way too much for a sub par vehicle and gave them my trade in which I loved by the way. Still am second guesssing myself every day on this new vehicle I purchased, but I had the chance to walk away which I should have and did not. Treated horribly by the Sales Mgr for sure. wont be back More

I purchased my 2012 Touareg TDI from Westside VW and had a very good experience. The sales consultant let me take several solo test drives and didn't pressure the sale at all.
