I made an appointment to get my battery replaced and have a "Post Pandemic" checkup and service set done. The service rep was friendly and knowledgeable about the EQUUS, which no other dealer visited in thi a "Post Pandemic" checkup and service set done. The service rep was friendly and knowledgeable about the EQUUS, which no other dealer visited in this are was. All the requested services were done, and they fixed some issues I didn't mention that had been caused by a different Dealer in the area. So there should be no surprise that I am very happy and would recommend South Bay Hyundai service if you have a EQUUS. It's been hard to find a dealer that has service reps that know how to service them. More

Horrible experience. The service advisor messed up the write up about a problem with my car and a part order. I already took it in twice to have the issue repaired. The service advisor admitted his mist write up about a problem with my car and a part order. I already took it in twice to have the issue repaired. The service advisor admitted his mistake and promised they would take care of everything. 2 days later I call back to find out when I can schedule the 3rd time for this repair. Suddenly the service manager and assistant service manager say they are refusing me service and I am no longer welcome at the dealership. Meanwhile they already have the money I paid for the repair. The manager Calvin Jeong won't speak to me, give me any explanation, or refund my money. Please chose another dealership for your service needs. Don't trust anyone at this dealership. More

Initial contact with Parts employee for purposes of repair/replacement of damaged key FOB. Was quoted price and was told item would be ordered and programmed. A month passed no contact from dealer. Vis repair/replacement of damaged key FOB. Was quoted price and was told item would be ordered and programmed. A month passed no contact from dealer. Visited dealer and was told (by the same worker, he didn't order. Escalated to manager (Calvin) who made efforts at customer recovery and satisfaction. I returned following day to pick up new/paid programmed FOB at no cost. While there, my media console was malfunctioning. The tech servicing my car, took a moment to reset. It appeared a satisfactory fix. However, less than 24 hours the fix had failed. Soon thereafter I returned, and was quoted a $1100+ amount. Unacceptable More
