My husband and I were in the market to buy a used Odyssey. We had very specific requirements, not excluding a certain price point. I visited several dealerships before I went to St Louis Honda. Had I started at st Louis Honda I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. Candace was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is extremely knowledgable about the products she sells and she made the process of buying a car very smooth. Candace asked how she could help me. She focused on my needs and my questions. She was direct and answered them honestly and quickly. I was in a hurry having already obtained pricing from other dealersh needs and my questions. She was direct and answered them honestly and quickly. I was in a hurry having already obtained pricing from other dealerships and expecting out of town guests. I advised Candace of my circumstances and she quickly provided answers to my questions and obtained her dealership's best pricing and offered it to me along with her card. There was no pressure, no haggling, no what do I have to do to sell you a car today, no you must test drive the car today before I can share that information with you. I got the information I asked for the first time. I did not have to drag it out of Candace or deal with 2 or 3 people to get the information. I obtained the information I wanted and I got it straight from her and she was 100% honest. The pricing was about the same, but St. Louis Honda was offering a 2011 model instead of a 2010. St. Louis Honda was also offering 0% financing for 60 months and the other dealers were not. Candace also explained the price included certain fees and extra equipment that other dealers charged as extra costs. I checked with the other dealerships and she was correct. Candace also explained the deal was good for any 2011 Honda LX as they all had similar equipment, so we would not have to settle for a color that was left on the lot. We could pick the color we wanted. I spoke to my wife, explained the details and we agreed we would buy the car from Candace. I called Candace and alerted her that we would be coming in the next day to buy the car and that we wanted to buy only from her. She asked us to go to the new car dealership and either call her or have her paged and she would take care of us, but she warned us that Saturdays were very busy at St. Louis Honda and we might have to wait a few minutes for her. I assured her we would wait for her. When we arrived on Saturday the dealership was very busy and several sales representatives tried to "poach" Candace's sale. (She was test driving a car with someone when we arrived.) We were patient and rewarded by Candace again focusing on our questions and needs. She went with us on the test drive, explained where everyting was. Wrote up the paperwork and helped us complete the forms which she submitted to Mr. Cash, who arranged the financing. Candace checked the status for us while we waited and let us know we were approved but needed to wait for Mr. Cash to finish with another customer. She offered us some refreshments while we waited and arranged for the car to be readied for delivery. After we finished with Mr. Cash, Candace met us and escorted us to the car and asked us to call with any questions or concerns and thanked us for giving her the opportunity to help us. Later she called to make certain everything was ok with the car. I told her I had already recommended her to a friend who said he was interested in the same make and model car. She thanked us again and said she looked forward to hearing from our friend. Our friend did buy from Candace. She quickly called back to thank us for the referral and to let us know we would be getting a gift from the dealership for making the referral. Again she focused on us and our needs and the information we wanted. We rewarded her with our sale by waiting for her. We were rewarded for our loyalty by her focus on us during the sales process. We thanked her with a referral and she thought enough of us to call back and thank us for the referral. I treat people the way they treat me and I would recommend Candace to anyone. More

Recently I went shopping for a car and took a look at a couple of dealerships off of the South Lindbergh area. After visiting a couple of dealerships I was rather upset with what I had seen. One place did not have a single salesperson ask if I needed anything in the 15 minutes I was walking their lot....and they didn't even have prices on their cars. At another dealer I was contacted by a salesman that was just trying to push me into cars I didn't want. Then I saw Mungenast Honda's used lot. I was immediately greeted by Craig and it was like I was looking at cars with one of my friends all the sudden. He knew that he didn't have what I was looking for but mentioned that I should take a look at the 09 Civic Si in the showroom. It wasn't what I was looking for but since he was friendly I decided to take a look. Once I took a look it I was impressed and added it to my list of cars to look at. After a day or two of research I decided this was the car. Negotiation and signing of the paperwork literally took less than 20 minutes and the salespeople at Honda were refreshing to deal with....they made things easy and it seems that they still care about their sales as they've been checking up with me lately to make sure that I'm satisfied. I would definitely recommend Mungenast Honda to friends and family. More

Fantastic experience working with Candace to find the car that really fit what I needed. Then once we had the right car, they were able to get it down to the right price without any "tricks" or hidden costs that really fit what I needed. This was a great sales experience with regard to all aspects of the process. The vehicle, purchased at a great price, is wonderful -- clean, smooth-running, and getting great gas mileage. She was eager to help but was not "hard sell" at all. She let us look but was there to answer all our questions. During our easy and fun conversation, we learned that she grew up in a car-selling family, which helped explain her vast knowledge of all things "car". She returned calls promptly, and the actual sales transaction was fast and easy. She handled it professionally but, again, in an easy friendly manner. She gave us great advice regarding our total loss settlement which resulted in an extra $500 from the insurance company. Without her suggestions we would have just agreed to the settlement, not knowing it was negotiable. I think what was most special about our experience was that Candace seemed genuinely happy for us that she could help us and very grateful to us for our business. We just got the feeling though that she would have been just as pleasant had we ultimately decided not to purchase a vehicle from her. That's special. She followed up the next day with a call to thank us again for purchasing a car from her and Dave Mungenast Honda, and to let us know that we could call her any time with questions that may come up. We tell everyone we know how pleased we are with Dave Mungenast Honda vehicles and service, and we would not hesitate to send anyone to Candace if they are in need of a vehicle. More

I visited St Louis Honda a number of times before purchasing my vehicle. I also visited about 7 other dealerships in my search, on both sides of the river. By far St. Louis Honda was the most helpful purchasing my vehicle. I also visited about 7 other dealerships in my search, on both sides of the river. By far St. Louis Honda was the most helpful and friendly dealership staff I interacted with in my search. I never felt like I was being sold a car, I felt like they were helping me buy a car. Even my 10 year old son suggested that I buy the car from St. Louis Honda because they were nice to him. The Accord I bought was used, but in pristine condition. It was obvious that the dealership took great care in reconditioning the vehicle. Actually every used car I looked in at St louis Honda was in great shape. Some other dealerships I went to had dirty cars and flat out told me "what do you expect, its not a new car". I like my car a lot, I feel like I got a good deal, and look forward to many happy miles ahead. More

Candace was great. The car I bought is great. I feel very lucky to have found the Nissan Versa AND Candace on the lot! The whole experience was easy & uncomplicated. In the past, I had very poor experiences with Sales people & Finance Depts.(not at Dave Mungenast, it was mostly Chevy dealerships in the past). The whole experience changed my view on dealerships/sales people (and managers, too! -- EVERYONE was super nice). It's nice to know there are trustworthy/honest dealers out there. Thanks! More

Candace met us with a smile and quickly put us at ease (made us forget that we were dealing with a salesperson). She was very helpful and answered all of our questions, even pointing out a small blemish (made us forget that we were dealing with a salesperson). Her honesty and friendly behavior went a long way in convincing us to purchase a car from St. Louis Honda. We had been to another dealer the previous day and walked away -- we didn't click with the salesperson. If possible, I would have given Candace a higher rating than 5.
