Liars and Cheats If you are trading in a lease to get another lease with Lakeland VW beware! We Casey Vanbellehem - (Sales & Leasing Consultant) & Jared Miller (Growt If you are trading in a lease to get another lease with Lakeland VW beware! We Casey Vanbellehem - (Sales & Leasing Consultant) & Jared Miller (Growth Manager) structured a deal to include my miles on my old lease and agreed upon a price. When I went to sign the paperwork and before signing the lease I asked for paperwork to sign that showed that the miles and the remaining payments on the car were covered. The Finance Manager at the time (Jared Miller) lied to me (said he couldn't give me anything that said that) he pointed to where it said $0 for what I owe. I thought everything worked out just fine until a month later I receive a bill saying that I owe $4k in overage mileage fees!!!! When I went in to discuss what had happened (Jared Miller) said he didn't care what happened or what Jared Miller had told me. He was not going to pay a dime of the overage miles. This was my third VW lease and the last lease I bought I was over on my miles but they worked it into the lease. Lakeland Volkswagen lied to me and can not be trusted. Watch out for this dealership!!!! More

Not honest! At all!! I own a 2013 Passat tdi with 25k miles and was looking to trade it in for a GTI. I was told by the salesman that VW would buy back my vehicle at the value it was prior to the scandal since it was on of the vehicles affected. He also told me that the dealership has no say in the value that VW would give me. After the dealership looked at my vehicle it was rated as in excellent condition. I went ahead and asked what they would give for the trade and they came back with 12k. So prior to the scandal (6 months earlier) I looked up the value of my car and it was 21k. So basically the dealership knows VW would buy back my vehicle at around 19k but they were trying to under cut me and rip me off. I left immediately while the salesman was trying to offer me $500 extra off. This dealership is a joke and tries to capitalize on tdi scandal. I will never go back to this dealership and I will never buy another VW! More

Negotiated price and other on phone before coming, including that I could have the car independently inspected in Lakeland prior to purchase because it had been in accident. Once I got there they would not let me take the car for independent inspection prior to purchase as had been agreed to. There was no down side for them to let me have the car looked at. I left the dealership without the car. If a place cannot honor their word, how can you trust them with such an important purchase! More

I was recently in the market to purchase my second Jetta. I love the Volkswagen brand, but I’m not a fan of the new body style, so I decided to go with a CPO vehicle. I searched all around the Southeast and I love the Volkswagen brand, but I’m not a fan of the new body style, so I decided to go with a CPO vehicle. I searched all around the Southeast and found the exact one I wanted at Lakeland VW. A few days later, I drove from my home in Atlanta down to Florida to purchase my new car. Hours after my purchase, I contacted the dealership with issues that I noticed with my air conditioning while driving home. In response to problems with my air, the finance manager offered not to fix a car that was obviously not functioning correctly on their lot, but to sell me an additional warranty on top of the one that came with the car. A few days later, I contacted the general manager, Jared, who refused to reimburse me for the $50 deductible that I would have to pay to have my air fixed under the car’s existing warranty. He insisted that he could not even write me a check, but that the only way he could get around the deductible was for me to drive eight hours from Atlanta back down to Lakeland. When I commented to the general manager that I would spend more than $50 in gas driving down there, Jared was still unconcerned and steadfast in his decision. I contacted Volkswagen Corporate with the bad business practices of Lakeland VW and they stepped up to do what was right by paying to have my air fixed. To rectify the issue with my air, the compressor had to be replaced and now my air works fine. I have no idea why the general manager was so rude and was such a jerk about fixing something that was clearly not right when he sold me the car, but I will definitely not even consider Lakeland VW for my third Volkswagen purchase. I would like to say my experience with Lakeland VW was an emotional up and down experience. Buying a car is one many find to be a stressful situation. So the best thing you can encounter is a knowledgable sa emotional up and down experience. Buying a car is one many find to be a stressful situation. So the best thing you can encounter is a knowledgable sales person who has been with the company for Many years.. Our Sales person Jared Miller was a very friendly and amazing person. He answered all the questions my husband and I had and he showed empathy, care, compassion, and concern when he saw that I was not pleased after signing my paperwork. He has called to check up on us and has understood our concerns with the situations we have experienced. A sales person such as Jared deserves many great praises. He would receive a gold star if it was my decision. My hope for the future with this dealership is that I will experience nothing less then amazing service from anyone my husband and I come in contact with. We love our car and have enjoyed having it. I thank Jared Diveley for doing what was in his power to rectifiy part of the situations that I was not pleased with. If the manager continues to educate all of his staff on customer service and the value of making your customers feel important. The whole VW staff should take his education and follow in the foot steps of the best sales/customer service associate on staff at Lakeland VW - Jared Miller. At this point I would feel comfortable recommending Lakeland VW to a friend, but I would recommend they ask to work directly with Jared Miller and I would recommend they go in with their own financing completed before making a deal. Hiriam Mendez did an excellent job explaining all the features of the 2.5 SEL we purchased. He was very polite and not at all "pushy" or "high pressure". Charles Draper seems to know the auto finan features of the 2.5 SEL we purchased. He was very polite and not at all "pushy" or "high pressure". Charles Draper seems to know the auto financing end of the business. He answered all of our questions without hesitation. We made a cash deal so did not have any concerns regarding the rate of interest. Overall, we are satisfied at the way we were treated. I cannot say the price was great as we did not run around checking prices at other Volkswagen dealers. However, we do believe the discounted price we paid for the 2012 model was reasonable. More
