There are times in business where it doesn't make sense to continue a relationship with a customer. This is one of those cases. Our policy is that we do not accept another dealer's lease returns on our lot. We have designated spaces for these vehicles which on many occasions take more than a month to be picked up. If we were to make a concession, we would do so for people who treat our staff with dignity and respect. In this case, we had documented notes of disrespect that this customer expressed to our staff. When it came to drop this Mustang off, the customer was beyond disrespectful to every staff member they spoke to. Once we said that we wouldn't take the vehicle we were threatened that they would attack us via social media. Fortunately, all of these call are recorded. There isn't a chance we would ever do business with this customer in the future because we appreciate our staff and do not appreciate being threatened. We can't say enough how much we love our customers and they love us back. In this scenario...neither party was "feeling the love" and sadly both parties lose.
