My career has been exclusively here at Jennings Chevrolet & VW since 1989. Growing up in Wilmette and living now in Wheeling IL, I am married with 2 children and have a horse, dogs, cats, & fish. I enjoy traveling when I can and am working on visiting all 50 states. I am a National Sigma Nu Fraternity Member and Eagle Scout for life. My goal is to give all my customers the best deal possible making it a very enjoyable experience. As most of my clients are repeat and referred customers, I hold their loyalty in very high regard.

From start to finish, this was the smoothest car purchase experience I've ever had. I'm the type who enjoys a good haggle, and I was a little disappointed that I didn't get the chance to get into a good fig experience I've ever had. It was a simple, straightforward negotiation, and unlike most other car purchases, I didn't leave feeling like I got ripped off. I came in well prepared, he respected my research, I respected his honesty, and we came to an agreement. All we had left to do was pick a color (and ship the car in from three states away!). The salespeople were incredibly welcoming and accommodating of me, my wife, and my kids. Even during their hectic period at the end of the month, we were never left to feel ignored, rushed, or harassed. Our salesperson especially, Chris Hallenberg, was absolutely fantastic. I don't think I've ever felt gratitude towards a salesman before after making a deal; Chris is the first. With a handful of other costumers in line, he still made time to orient us with our new car, even AFTER the deal was signed. First class, all the way. More

I recently purchased a Chevrolet Cruze at Jennings. This is the fifth Chevrolet my wife and I have bought through Chris. We like dealing with Chris because he is a consultative sales professional. He assesses our needs and helps us determine the right type of vehicle we need based on how we drive and what our needs are. No high prssure, no back slapping, no nonesense. In the most recent purchase, I had some budgetary constraints, and Chris was able to locate a slightly used "program" car (with less than 200 miles on it) for substantially less than the typical new car price. A few years ago, Jennings did not have the precise vehicle I wanted to buy in house, so he spent a few days locating a suitable car at another dealer, and he arranged to deliver that car. That car had a few features I did not request, but he did not charge me extra for the upgrades. Unlike many other experiences, Jennings has kept all of its promises made to me - including some minor dealer-installed features that were orally promised. Pricing has always been fair, and they have always avoided trying to sell me upgraded features or models that I really did not want. Post-sales service has always been very good at Jennings. I continue to be amazed that they really do not charge more for repairs or maintenance than independent shops do. In fact, they charge less than $20 for an oil change and filter - plus bagels, beverages, and a complimentary car wash! They really try to ensure satisfaction: my last car developed some rust during the warranty period, and the body shop repaired it as I requested. A couple of years later (after the body warranty lapsed), some additional rust reoccured where they did the repairs and on a different door. They repaired the rust damage without charging me, even though it was after the warranty period. We are very satisfied with the team at Jennings, and we plan to remain loyal customers. More

My wife and I have purchased a few new cars and never had a good experience. We had also never been to Jennings either. We originally met Chris when we were just looking. He was very easy to deal with and a good experience. We had also never been to Jennings either. We originally met Chris when we were just looking. He was very easy to deal with and knew we weren't ready to buy that day. He followed up a few weeks later and stayed in contact. About a month later, we were ready to buy a Traverse and he notified us of a great opportunity on a slightly used Traverse. We came in and had to bring our 2 year old son - which we thought would be a disaster since he likes to run around and not sit still. They had a playroom for him and didn't play any games with us. They told us the best price upfront, which was better than other dealerships we visited. Chris was able to get us great financing and did speed up the buying process so we were not there all night with our child. Overall great experience and we will return to Chris and Jennings for future purchases. More

I spoke with Chris Hallenberg from Jennings about a new Traverse. He had snacks for the family when we arrived. Chris had a model ready to test drive. This is our third vehicle through Jennings and Chris Hallenberg has always made the car buying process very smooth. He is a professional and true asset to Jennings. Highly recommended. More

I was looking for an HHR to use for our companies delivery service. I had a $3500 rebate for the purchase of a new HHR. Unfortunately, their were only four left in entire country. I found one at J delivery service. I had a $3500 rebate for the purchase of a new HHR. Unfortunately, their were only four left in entire country. I found one at Jennings, called up and spoke to Chris Hallenberg. The vehicle was exactly what I was looking for, the only problem being we were about five hours from his location. Chris informed me this wasn't an issue and could have it delivered to me for $250. As a GM distributer, I qualified for the supplier discount. I registered and recieved my password but since my company was purchasing the vehicle, my supplier discount was not eligible. Chris said no problem and sold it to me at the supplier discount anyway. Ultimately I purchased the vehicle thru a wire transfer and he had it delivered the next day. Upon recieving the vehicle, I got a call from Chris wondering if I liked the vehicle. That was very classy in itself, but when he informed me he was going to send me a $500 Lowes, quite frankly, I was blown away. Here is a guy who already discounted my price to supplier solely because I was having difficulties with the code. On top of that, he already made the sale and still informed me I would recieve a gift card. His kindness, patience, and intelligence were far more than I've ever recieved from a salesman. I would highly recommend anyone to use Chris when purchasing a car. He is a different breed when it comes to the "normal" car salesman. By far, the best salesman I have ever came across. More
